sindh watever your name is .... my only advice to you is to completely stay away from foods which you believe you cannot control yourself over . its a mind over matter principle, easier said that done , but takes discipline . So bottom line: don't touch it !.
sehri : water
iftar: soup broth .
khorme sabzi ( a leafy green stew with lamb)
and 2 pieces of baklava (should have had one but they were so good! )
Hey guys! I know I'm not a regular poster in this thread but I think its great what you guys are doing, supporting one another and giving eachother valuable advice. I'm posting cuz I kind of need to vent. I've been working out for an hour every day for the last two weeks( JM metabolism boost) and I'm starting to feel more toned and slightly better about myself but I've really been struggling with my diet the past few days especially because of Ramadan. Yesterday I literally binged on ice cream. I normally don't allow myself to eat it and then my dad brought some home and I ate like half the box. I've been having more and more instances like this where I eat well for a few days and then just totally binge. I hate when it happens because normally I'm pretty disciplined but then I lose control. I hate it so much because I feel like all my hard work is going to waste from working. Does anyone have any advice?
Yeah that happened to me too. Read some of my last posts and you'll see. I went off track and I am finding it hard to get back on track. I have somewhat controlled my diet. I can't eat anyway but the workout part sucks. I thought it would be easier with Ramadan but I dont work out at all now. I don't want to workout while fasting because I drink a lot of water when I run. I decided I will work out after Iftaari but by the time I am done making Iftaari and dinner gym is closed :( My baby sleeps late too now because we eat so late.. Maybe its just harder in Ramadan.. idk
when i got to my mum’s my sister draggged me to tesco’s for some shopping and took nearly two hrs there
so by the time we got back i was knackered defo gonna make myself complete day 10 of level 1 of the shred today
spiral - dont worry its hard you dont have to go gym.
you can also do it at home when baby’s gone to sleep ( i do the same which is usually at 11.30pm! )
sehri - weetabix and tea
iftari- gonna have 1 roti with gosht salan and just a spoon of biryani my sister just made, and of course my tea
Dont beat yourself up about it just accept that you will have days were you will make a bad decision and eat summat your not suppose to
everyone goes through this and you just need to start the next day afresh and work your butt off and the next time you feel your gonna binge
come on here and read the thread which is just sooooo motivating that you think right today im gonna work my a** off and am not gonna eat like there’s no tomorw, i really hope this helps and hope your gonna join us girls to get fit
Awww, thank you guys soooo much for your advice and support! It means so much to me! I’m definately going to try and post on this thread more often, it will help me to stay motivated and I’m trying some new strategies to lose weight so iA I will be fit like you girls!
SindiC - Chinup girl, it is never too late .. Take it day by day and drink as much water as you can and hopefully it will reduce your appetite
Update from me.. Exercise front I have been really bad , so todayw ill be going to Curves whatever happens
So was out of the office on Friday, was home and went to the first Iftaar.. Was really bad and had samosas and chaat but then I hadn’t eaten anything for the past 2 days so felt ok about it.. I also had a cup of tea and the lamb chop from Biryani without the rice
Saturday was better, I had 2 chappli kebab for Iftaar with half a roti and keema and Sunday Iftar was Lamb Koftas, spinach, 2 pieces of chicken and vege sides and
here I am .. this morning
Weight is 67kg … I saw the scales hover on 66.9 which was anice thing to see and I can see I am getting there..
I have 10 days left to lose a few more lbs so wish me luck girls and I hope I can get down to atleast 64 kg
I am going to continue this in Pk and I have JM so can do that there ..
I will also be travelling from tomorrow to the end of Ramadan. I am scared that I will gain weight on the trip. We'll be going to Toronto tomorrow ... the food there is so GOOD. Its a short trip... 5 days. But we come back on Monday and leave for Connecticut for a week. Now over there we'll be in a small town and won't have much desi/halal food option at all so maybe it will work in my favor.
I was worried about the same thing, for some reason Dubai Airport’s McDonalds is calling me, so I’m keen to try and lose the weight before my trip so I can treat myself to a halal burger and fries
Drink lots of water Spiral and just aim to eat healthy and not over eat during the trip and if you do overeat really cut down on your next meal to deficit the overeat in the meal previously
hey confussious well done for getting to 67 ......
i let myself have a very CARBOHYDRATY day today .... ive decided to let myself have carbs every 14 days ... which i think is reasonable .....
... so had pakoras , dumplings , naan , bit of rice .lol , i really enjoyed myself .......
... however not looking 4ward to getting on the scale ... will weigh myself on thursday .. hoping im 68 at least ..... wish i was 67 toooo ,t but for my height i dont have a lot of fat so this final 6 kilos will be the hardest to move i believe
