finally he hits one boundary
Re: 3rd Test - Eng vs Pak - Leeds, 4th-8th Aug.
I have a feeling (since yesterday) that we are going to win. Desipte what everyone else here has been 'feeling."
Note, this is not a prediction, but a mere hunch. Maybe even wishful thinking :D
Re: 3rd Test - Eng vs Pak - Leeds, 4th-8th Aug.
pakistan 50 up **
**Pakistan 52/1 (16.0 )
Re: 3rd Test - Eng vs Pak - Leeds, 4th-8th Aug.
i still believe in winning the match ,wasting so many balls is ok if u r playing for a draw…moreover it piles up pressure…a few boundaries here and there help relieving pressure, especially off the other batsman
Re: 3rd Test - Eng vs Pak - Leeds, 4th-8th Aug.
Panesar to Taufeeq Umar, no run, got that one to go over the batsman’s top edge, very close indeed, and that flies behind Read, where the first slip picks it up
Re: 3rd Test - Eng vs Pak - Leeds, 4th-8th Aug.
Panesar to Taufeeq Umar, no run, played defensively into the rough area and that just dropped short of Ian Bell at short leg
Re: 3rd Test - Eng vs Pak - Leeds, 4th-8th Aug.
52/1
First 50 achieved. I am counting down the target in 50's. :D
Re: 3rd Test - Eng vs Pak - Leeds, 4th-8th Aug.
It appears to be that Taufeeq is more interested in holding the ground than making runs… :k:
Re: 3rd Test - Eng vs Pak - Leeds, 4th-8th Aug.
Pakistan Can Win **
**only one gud big partnership required
Re: 3rd Test - Eng vs Pak - Leeds, 4th-8th Aug.
Someone has to play the anchor role and I think taufeeq has been asked to do that today. Not a bad idea.
Re: 3rd Test - Eng vs Pak - Leeds, 4th-8th Aug.
I'll take 105-1 at lunch.
Re: 3rd Test - Eng vs Pak - Leeds, 4th-8th Aug.
Yeah, I sorta agree, though it's going to dent Salman Butt heavily. Oh well, he should go back to domestic cricket and work on his driving.
But with Hafeez and Malik opening, we are going to have a total of 4 all rounders in our team, Hafeez, Malik, Razzaq, Afridi, a wicketkeeper batsman, and I would almost count Shoaib Akhtar (version 2.0) as an all rounder too.
This makes for a VERY VERY strong ODI team, and the results have shown that too. (I'd put the ODI series against **INDIA **as an abberration, partly due to injuries and experimentation with Akmal).

First think team for 4th Test match ![]()
Re: 3rd Test - Eng vs Pak - Leeds, 4th-8th Aug.
Not a bad choice considering the fact that the test openers have done nothing. Both Malik and Hafeez also very good fielders, however only concern about Hafeez is that he can be slow in the ODI.
