Taufeeq did try to chase a couple of wide ones before he got out but fortunately for him he didn't reach them. Lapse in concentration I think.

What a waste by Taufeeq. He had done all the hard work, and Hoggard was probly in his last over of the spell. When we're 500+ behind, we can't afford to gift our wickets away.

Yeah, he wasted the opportunity after having done all the hardwork. It would have been easy for him to make a 50 after having played so well.
But I am still jubilant, we did lose our first wicket early, but we DID SEE OFF 13 overs. This was enough to take the shine off the ball and avoid putting the dressing room in panic that is usually the case if you lose your first wicket in the first few overs. Hopefully Younis Khan and Butt can consolidate from here. Taufeeq will get a chance to redeem himself again. From what I have seen today, I'd keep Butt and Taufeeq for the fourth test as well.

Can’t believe it, you need 500 runs and the batsmen run stupid runs, totally un necessary.
