There was a middle order batsman who tourrd India. Saeed Anwar? I think he came in at number 5. Good technique. He was an experienced player.

Make Younis Khan the Captain........He was wrongly removed as the captain and Misbah needs to go now........Defensive mindset of Misbah has cost us many matches

The order for Younis + Whatmore should be to groom a Test and probably an ODI Captain within the next 18 Months ..... Hafeez is good for ODIs but the question is how long ..... We need someone from Asad, Azhar or Nasir Jamshed as Captain in the next 24 months

Captain....Younis is a more aggressive captain compared to Misbah. The word is compared. We are not saying that Pakistan ever had an aggresive Test captain. Perhaps in the days of yore, such as Majid or maybe Imran.
However today, either PCB moves to a new face and let them grow into the role or move to Younis. He will much better than Misbah. His personal style of batting, fielding from the front in Slips etc, all are better.

Sure, Younis captained 9 Test matches and we won only 3 and our opponents were SL, India while Misbah captained against SA, NZ, Eng, BD, WI and we won 9 out of 19 matches. Younis had star players in Aamir, Danish Kaneria, Mohammed Yousuf and Misbah did not have that kind of luxury and he took a broken/shattered ship damaged by the scandal set it up for smooth sailing.

Lol Captain...Come on...So Imran khan played 48 tests as captain and won 14 which is a lower percentage than Misbah. So with your logic Imran Khan is less than Misbah.
I hope you see the falacy of your argument. Its not merely a statistical snapshot in time that can determine who is a better captain.

Any how, our bickering won't change anything. In the long run, Pakistan needs a young energetic guy to lead them. And that is not Hafeez since Mr. so called professor's own spot is under threat due to his own performances.

I know I myself have liked Misbah, however it may be time for him to depart now as captain.

Cant believe the hating on Misbah. He played very well on the 3 rd day. Hit some nice 6s off their spinner.Didn't watch his dismissal. But once in a while mistakes happen. When the openers score a total of zero runs in the first innings and not much more in the second, when your #7 batsman is barely visible, when the tail hardly wags ( with 1st innings being an exception), when two catches dropped off Yul in 1st innings, I just don't see how Misbah is responsible.

I am not comparing two different eras, I am talking about two captains within 5 years of time where they played with a similar bunch as team or against similar bunch of opposition players with much similar rules of cricket :)

To an extent I agree with you, I have supported Misbah since day one but I do see him fading but unfortunately I don't see a good replacement, going back to Younis Khan will not help we need to find a better candidate for captaincy. Hafeez may prove to be bit more aggressive but his own place in Tests is questionable at times.

That is where his aggression is seen :D

woah...no hating here....simple constructive criticism for the benefit of Pakistan cricket. At least I don't hate anyone who plays for their country and tries their best. Its just a matter of who is now best for the team.

This is over rated .........Misbah did that Misbah did this........Whats his own performance NIL.....The only series we from team above than us was the ENGLAND series just due to Ajmal and Rehman and lost all Test series
