it depends, if it had gone in the air resulting in sami’s dismissal followed by a hatrick by kumble, eventually resulting in follow-on then you could very well imagine

Brother I think cricket is a game of uncertainity....he is human being and no batsman think he will get an edge of it will fly on air....but all in all as an 8th batsman, he played really well and only thing which I commented on your views was that we should not call anyone Jahil...Let alone to a person who is doing well at the moment.
All in all I am no sami fan, I think some other bowler should get a chance...I think Yasir Arafat should have been tried.....he did bowl well but with no luck as well...at least he tries his best, its not his fault he is in the team....he has no scandles he works hard in the field and he bowls to his abilities....

lets see what the strategy is going to be like now. Pakistan would like to be in a position where India when batting SHOULD NOT feel comfortable declaring today.

So summary of the game so far… 1033 runs for 11 wickets. What a marvellous pitch and what a wonderful testament to test match cricket. Kolkatta should get an award or something for popularizing test cricket all over again. :k:

to get a lead in this situation you have to have your recognized players playing who can acclerate when needed, not Misbah with tailenders.
Pakistan target at this stage should be to waste as much time as possible and obviously accumulating some runs as well to reduce the deficit. The larger the lead (eg 150) the more India will feel comfortable declaring early. Pakistan dont want to come again to bat today with 5 overs remaining.
