VVS was indeed "very very special" as Deano loves to say. The cover drives were just breathless to watch. With that being said, the "we are gonna make kangaroo curry" banners seem like a far fetched dream at this point. I hope India miraculously finds a way to draw the test series (that kinda hurt saying btw) :)
Just want to see some competetive cricket I guess!

Given that Bucknor has gifted Australia at least 130+ runs, I still feel it will be hard for the Indians to save this match.
Jaffer is a friggin flat-track genius, the sooner we realize it, the better. Even Irfan Pathan can bat better than him in Australia, plus Pathan can bowl too.
I am hoping for Tendu to deliver for once (when I say deliver, I don't mean score 50-60 runs, but score 150+).
Since our batting has not been exactly rock solid and our tail is so long , I don't know why Irfan Pathan is not included to bolster the lower order at least. Plus in my book, he is a far better bowler than Ishant. One other thing that many people don't realize is that Pathan is a very good fielder too.

My favorite Indian batsman scored a century, and once again I missed it. Can anyone pretty please post the highlight of the innings?
And I blame BCCI for the umpiring decisions. Bucknor has been rubbing Indians the wrong way for a loooong time now. With all the financial clout BCCI has, why haven't they forced him out for good by now?

Laxman has hints of Zaheer Abbas and Azhar-ud-din. Very classy when he gets going. Dravid on the other hand plays a lot of dot balls for no reason.
I would like to see Yuvraj score atleast once in this test series.

I just hope for the rest of cricketing world that Tendu and Gangu atleast put up a 200+ partnership ..... i know i know The media Hype will reach unknow heights but no one needs to watch 'em

I agree, Dravid is being over cautious recently.
He has been put into awkward position by team management just to fit in Youvi. Dravid was so set in middle order and team management has asked (in fact FORCED) him to open and that too on top of the fact that Dravid is going through rare bad patch of his career
