Re: 2nd ODI: India v Pakistan at Mohali - Nov 8, 2007
BTW I'm surprised you guys think afridi did anything extraordinary. Any other chimp with a bat will do exactly the same thing, given so many balls to play, so many wickets to follow and so few runs required.
the only hero is younis
It's more the way he played. He played very sensible. That makes he big difference, which is very unusual for him.

given afridi's usual style of getting out on the second ball, this is extraordinary for him to stay at the creased and actually allow himself to bat.

Alhamdulillah excellent win by Pak. My congrats to all guppies. This will go as one of best Pak chases in history. Also this will do lot of good to boost teams confidence. Now only if we can get a keeper who can keep.
Re: 2nd ODI: India v Pakistan at Mohali - Nov 8, 2007
for pakistani detractors of afridi misbah and younis:whenever u shoot off ur mouth about these 3 guys in future try to remember today's match.
1.younis khan played brilliantly with awesome strike rate of 106.36.
2.misbah played under pressure with 111.36
3.afridi played with cool head under great pressure and saw pakistan through.
people always complain that they cant handle pressure dont ve sane head over their shoulders etc etc.so for next 4-5 years plz keep quite about these guys.
PS:thx for some1 opening this thread.mods plz make him official thread opener of all ind-pak matches as someone before suggested on page 1.:)

Some1 yaar relax, it's nice to know that you have such feelings for your country. From experience it is probably fair to say though that the crowds in India (not every where though) can be a bit miserly when it comes to appreciating good batting esp. from Pakistan. Same thing was palpably felt by everyone during our last trip in 2005. I know Akram's men were given a rousing reception by the crowd (? venue, Saqlain's test) when they won a test in India in 1999 but in general that's not been the case. Yes you must support the home team but you should also appreciate good batting and bowling displays from your opponents. That's all. And believe you me I would be saying the same thing if Pakistani crowds behaved like this with India.
Re: 2nd ODI: India v Pakistan at Mohali - Nov 8, 2007
why did they give sachin the trophy today instead of last game. it seemed like they just created the award so sachin gets something for his 99.
I know you're kidding but not by much....some of my countrymen just worship sachin and a few others like him. Granted he was the greatest and is even now one of the great batsmen, but notwithstanding today's performance, I think he should start coaching youngsters
