India won the 1st ODI - but I still feel that the Indian team is stretching its luck by fielding a team with such a long tail. The team is clearly one batsman short. I am not a fan of playing 5 specialist bowlers in ODIs on dead tracks - 4 of whom are “tail-enders” in the real sense of the word. And I am uncomfortable with having to pin my hopes on a batsman like Dhoni when only 2 wickets are down.
India should try out some all-rounder in place of RP Singh/Sreesanth. I have no suggestion in mind…but I am sure there are some potentials in domestic cricket. I am not sure how good a batsman Praveen Kumar is, btw.
However, I am 100% certain that we will go into 2nd ODI with the same team…and wait until we are defeated before we realize the above problem…as usual.

I really hope not. He should come in at the expense of Abdul "superstar spinner who was too f'ing scared to flight the ball to Yuvraj and Dhoni" Rehman. Or, we could have our lousy captain making himself a bit useful and bowl his full quota of ten overs so that we can play Fawad Alam (God knows we need big hitters down the order badly).

I agree 100%.
I think Fawad can do with bowl what Abdul is doing right now. Also fawad adds more value with the bat too. I think Tanvir will play in place of Abdul as the wickets is rumored to support pacers.

The last time I opened a thread for a match, India got beaten by 9 wickets. Or it may have been by 10 wickets...I did not follow the game after India got bowled out for less than 150.
So, if my record is anything to go by, my Pak friends here should be happy.

We sincerely hope that your thread opening brings us the same luck. If that happens we will make you the official thread opener for all Pak matches :)

By the time they come to bat the pitch will slow down. You know how the weather and pitch and atmospheric conditions are always on Pakistani’s side, just like 2005, 3rd Test at Karachi.
