It is all about the test brother - some trails - as in his book he said
Or do ye think that ye shall enter the Garden (of bliss) without such (trials) as came to those who passed away before you? They encountered suffering and adversity, and were so shaken in spirit that even the Apostle and those of faith who were with him cried: “When (will come) the help of God?” Ah! Verily, the help of God is (always) near!
I know what you mean . A prostitute who gave water to a thirsty dog was forgiven but a person who was a namazi and deendar was not because he got a bit arrogant about his good deeds. Allah knows what we know not. who knows what else Allah liked about that prostitute. And who knows the person who was unparralled in piety had ‘takkabur’ in his heart or was not that good as a person himself ?!
All we need to remember is that it’s Allah’s will to forgive. It’s our duty to try and follow the true teachings of Islam and fulfill Huqooq Allah and Huqooq ul Ibaad.
I would rather want to have at least a few of good deeds rather than hoping to be forgiven on just one ..when the list of our sins on the other hand is endless.
I don't get it. Why did Allah swt bother revealing the Quran over a period of 23 long years if, at the end, we humans were to decide being a good person is enough and we need not be following the Quran?
Why am I missing out on the "good" stuff like alcohol and sex if all it's going to take for me to enter jannah is compassion for other beings?
Each ayah was given at a certain point in time which applied to the occasion.
In the end we have freewill and will decide whether we want to follow the Qur'aan or not..

And would you follow the philosophies / moral and ethical codes and all those isms - who kept changing every day or a book which hasn't changed a single bit in last 1500 years ... choice is all yours ...
