hi sammii .. i'll be in Karachi for two days in February .. although i will be doing most of my wedding shopping in Lahore, i do want to look around and order a few outfits.. can you please give me a list of places (close by to eachother so I dont waste a lot of time going from store to store) where I can get reasonable outfits? I've spent so much on my bridal outfit and due to that my budget for all the extra clothes quite low.. thanks for your time!
Two days is very little time. :) You would probably wear yourself out. If you want to purchase ready made outfits, then you can probably visit Dolmen Mall Clifton. The PFDC Lounge has opened there and would probably stock most designer labels.
Labels similarly stocks designer wear as well and is very close to Dolmen Mall, Clifton. It is in khadda market in Clifton.
Forum has some great shops too like Feathers which stocks designer items ( again in Clifton). If you follow the lane next to the foodcourt in Forum , you will see other designer boutiques too.
Parktowers in Clifton has Maria B, Unbeatables, Amir Adnan, Deepak Perwani and a few other designer labels too.
If you specifically want to order clothes for embroidery at a reasonable price then check out the embroidery shops in Gulf and Cliff ( same building more or less). This place is near three swords. Across the road from Gulf is the Kehkashan embroidery market. It is basically on the ground floor of this residential building.
Further down the road from Gulf, towards, the Shell Petrol Pump, if you keep on walking, you will also find Jabeens , Zardozi and other famous wedding kaam outfits walay outlets. :) They are hard to miss. :)
All these shops are in Clifton.

My preparations are going well my wedding dresses are nearly complete , the only problem i'm having is to find nice clutch bags i'm located in Islamabad any one know where i can find some :p
I am feb 2013 bride.. my dresses are completed but i m stuck in to mehndi dress... jewellery is left.. my sis will arrange make up for me from U.K.. and my valima n barat outfit will be from MIL... i m just worried coz i dint find any nice clutches here in peshawar... :(
my barat outfit will b ordered by my mom. the mehndi n valima my inlaws, but they have not yet asked me about it.... hopefully they will, else ill tell my fiance about the mehndi outfit atleast. im scared to look like a yellow n green christmas tree :s!

barat n valima frm in laws not to worry ... mehndi dress under process :S... bought few heavy dresses, some semi formals n casual dresses got them stitched , need to by gifts for inlaws ,MUA booked , photographer booked , mehndi girl done ,got some of makeup palettes ,furniture done ,got some clutches , electronics & shoes still left
things will be prepared ...but who will prepare me :((...stressed!
m getting married in jan IA .. uptil now i only got eyeshadow palletes whch my sis is bringing from Uk dont exactly know which brand are those ... will let u know when i get hold of them .

I'm getting married inshallah in Feb. and head to Pakistan at the end of Dec. for just a couple weeks to get my shopping done and inshallah my bridal fittings and so forth. I have figured out the silhouette/dress types i want for each day I just need to finalize designs and go from there. I need to know of good places in karachi or lahore to get readymade outfits for my jahez. I think i'm just going to place my bridal order with one of our lovely gs designers and jahez i'll pick up while i'm out there. At least that way I can try things on and know what works and what doesn't work on me.
Has anyone shopped in hyderbad before? any good places for sarees in lahore or karachi?
for karchi check raabi centre in tariq road i got 2 indian saree from there which i saw on internet they gave u catalogue and that shop is in 2 floor i guess
my preps are going slow. all orders have been made. just await deliveries now. ordered furniture recently and well… hoping for the best. I have been on an emotional roller coaster lately to be honest. I blogged about it here.
