What updates girls? :) I have ordered my bridal, which is my own creation, so it could a) turn out super or b) make me cry. :p I hope it InshaAllah turns out super. :)
I have been also ordering semi formal and formal clothes both from our side and the groom's. They basically gave us money and told us that we should get clothes of my choice. :)
Today I ordered my mehendi dress which is royal bluish and have ordered gotay ka Kaam for it. :p I know it sounds odd since blue isn't the norm for mehendi but hey,it is done. :)
Now my prime worry is the valima dress. Nothing has caught my eye and I am worried as whatever I get just has to please my hubby and mom in law. :) it is really sweet of them to be broad minded enough to trust me for it and I don't want to let them down. My hubby wants me to get a variant from peach to baby pink. I'll hit kehkashan embroidery market next week and see if I can figure out something. If you girls have any suggestions, please let me know. :)
Oh and sales are on everywhere in karachi, so Karachi brides it is the best time to get shoes and clutches.

i ordered my bridal outfit from makkah :).. its tail ended shirt in rexona geen color..while lehnga n dopatta are red..

Makkah bridal is opposite Dolmen mall in tareq road. There is another Two separate Makkah shops in Rahi centre as well. These three are all in Tariq road. The best is opposite Dolmen mall in lavish mall.

hey 2013 brides! U guys are so lucky that u can just concentrate on ur shopping and start buying things now, my wedding is in April (Inshallah) but i'll just be going to Pak in the 1st week of March and doing all my shopping then!! I really hope I have enough time to get everything sorted. I have an idea of what I want for Mehndi and Baraat but still undecisive about the Walima outfit, I'm thinking about the colour Coral which I've fallen in love with but can't decide on any nice combination with it, so any suggestions? Gud luck with the preps!

Hay. i am going to be a March 2013 bride IA. and dreaming of having a beautiful wedding is all the preps i have done so far :) can not decide on the baraat dress,as the walima and mehndi dresses will be from my in laws as per my family tradition. and thanks to the Almighty for that,i have not a worry in the world about that because my mother in law is a very well dressed lady herself and wouldnt want people to think less of her nae bahu either:) but the baraat dress is a big question mark itself. of all the pretty joras in the GS world i can not picture myself wearing any of them :( i am a freak.i dont know what i want. i might end up wearing the most boring and common of lehngas because i wont find anything that i like.i know :(

Hey Dragonlady, Honestly I completely understand how u feel I was the same thinking oh god how will i decide, this won't suit me, should i wear this style or that etc etc but i think the starting point is always chose on colours, once u've decided on the colours u want then u can go from there. Inshallah everything will work out well :)

thank you for the kind words FarahK :) i do not want to wear red,that i am sure about.and everything i like is either beige or off white. but those will probably be my walima colors. i dont know why but i am not attracted to a lot of colors. pastel and earthy tones are the ones that catch my eye. now the baraat outfit HAS to be bright, that's how my mom wants it and she wont have it any other way. so you see the dilemma :)

Honestly hun im sure it will be fine, go with what U want and what U will feel good in end of day its ur big day and that only comes once, I believe that this is one day that us girls shouldn't have to compromise, but i'm not saying u should totally disregard ur mums opinions, what u could do is have the majority of ur lengha/dress in the colour that u like with a bright border or just a bit of the bright colour which ur mum choses incorporated somewhere in the dress or if ur willing then have the dupatta the bright colour, infact i've seen a lot of that lately and I think it looks stunning so do consider it. BTW when and where is ur wedding?

i can completely relate to you. just the thought of a red dress was enough to make me throw up. But then my mom wanted something bright too so i reached a compromise. the dupatta and the lehenga is red and the shirt is green and magenta-ish. :)

Hey everyone! I was supposed to be getting married in march of 2013 but my wedding has been delayed to October.. I currently am outside of Pakistan and am going to be getting married in Peshawar... I have a few issues.. I already ordered my bridal outfit and my in laws are letting me order my walima outfit (ofcourse according to their budget) which will most likely not be enough for me to order from a well known designer.. I'm going to Pakistan in february to do EVERYTHING in only THREE weeks! (clothes, furniture, booking the photographers, hall, decor, cards and the list goes on) so I will be having very limited time to do all this stuff. I do not want to get my make up done in Peshawar for my barat and I called khawar riaz but he charges 3.5 lakhs for just make up for one night not including the money for his stay. which is ridiculous and such a waste! do you guys know anyone who is willing to travel that does GREAT make up but is not tooo expensive (I dont want to spend more than 1 lakh MAX)? also, do you guys know any places in lahore for me to order my walima outfit with a 2-2.5 lakh budget? anyone have experience with guddu shani photography as I want them to do my event photography and video .. I've had a very bad experience with some photographers in Peshawar for my nikkah.

hi sammii .. i'll be in Karachi for two days in February .. although i will be doing most of my wedding shopping in Lahore, i do want to look around and order a few outfits.. can you please give me a list of places (close by to eachother so I dont waste a lot of time going from store to store) where I can get reasonable outfits? I've spent so much on my bridal outfit and due to that my budget for all the extra clothes quite low.. thanks for your time!

my barat venue is being booked tonight :D! its going to be mughar e azam FORT, i wanted qasre noor, but all locations were already booked for 2nd of march!
