I'm also a 2013 bride InshAllah but no dates have been set yet. We will probably get married around April- May time though. I have done no wedding shopping at all or even looked into venues etc. My mum has been buying jahez suits for me- got around 15 fancy ones so far. I'm going to get a few more heavier ones and then start buying some casual and lawns, I've picked up a few Gul Ahmed and Asim Jofa lawns so far. Have also got most of my jewellery too to take with me although I'll most likely be wearing costume on the wedding with gold bangles. What jewellery are you girls taking with you?
Does anybody know any good stores in London and surrounding areas for Pakistani bridals? I know of Gul's style but I'd like to check out a few more too.

shadi dress has been already ordered.
my shadi gold jewellry is ready.
15 dresses are ready( will add a few more, nt more than 20 or 22).
both days venues also done.
both day hair and makeup also booked.
i feel like i am the most jaldbaaz bride :p
i wont hav any fotosession or video so no tension of indoor outdoor shoots :)

i have also done some prep bought some lawn and ready to wear suits plus unsitch cotton embrdy suits , some plain fabric for embrdy ,2 sari ,bags,purse
jewllery not yet ... what type of jewellery u all r going to take along with u ..im thinking of some gold and artifical for dinner's etc becoz here in karachi i cant wear gold :)

Hey guys! My dates have pretty much been set Inshallah 3rd 4th April :)
I haven't started my preps so much yet, just so busy with studies at the moment plus ill be going to Pak around 4-5 weeks before the wedding so Inshallah should have plenty of time to do all my shopping then...
I've sort of decided on my baraat day dress I was actually inspired by a pic from the bridal pics thread, there really are some amazing dresses in that thread... But still can't decide on what to go for on walima infact I've started up a new thread for ideas so plzzz take part if u have any suggestions, I'm looking at quite neutral colours for walima such as greys, peach, beige etc
Have u guys chosen your outfits or atleast colours?
I know there's still a while for us yet but how are u all feeling emotion wise? I keep having moments when I get really excited and other times quite upset especially when my dad talks about the wedding it really gets to me :( or when someone mentions that I'll be moving away (as I'm moving from one end of the country to the other end )
So share ur feelings with the rest... It's nice to be a part of this thread and chat amongst other girls that are in the same boat!

right now i just want to get married.. no feelings at all.. how mean :p..
my wedding dress color:olive green shirt, red dopatta and sharara and black velvet border.. it turned out prettier than imagination..i designed it myself..
valima dres: peach and shocking pink.. went with inlaws.. its less shocking more candy pink waise :P. its nt heavier and bought both dresses from the same place.. still valime wala is mehnga because i ordered it in shadi season.. wierd :s
my dates are 12 and 14 jan.. and the funny part is i ll be having my exam on 11jan :(

Ah well i am getting married in the first week of January 2013, 5th Jan i.e. and i have not finalised a thing. I never actually visualized myself as a dulhan… so this is well.. pretty much daunting. I’d be coming here a lot for help and comments.

oh, well i did get my gold jewellery done in April, 12 this year. hahah! so it's not that bad. And i am a hundred percent sure i'll book Anam Falak for the makeup. She did my nikkah make up as well and to date my mum and my relatives race about my make up that day. :)

yup just left with the semi-formal (ready-made ones) left.. will buy near wedding.. not at all I am really conscious about each & every single thing.. I keep my dresses clutches shoes everything packed to save them from ruining.. & most imp I have got work done on dresses with never get "KAALA" :P best kaam is of GOTTA :)
Just a small & simple advice, Keep your dresses in packets, seal them up with tape & start stocking them :) I bet, none of the kaam will turn black:)
same for bags & clutches but DO NOT buy "leather bags or sandals" before time, they turned too bad if kept unused..
I hve got all my formal dresses un-stitched, i have got 5 clutches & a bag uptill now, will buy more handbags Insha Allah, & I guess 6-7 pairs of shoes (some will buy near wedding) mostly I have got from tariq-road & hyderi.. What about you??? :)

Hey.. I am too looking forward to get my makeup done from ANAM.. have read 50/50 reviews about her makeup... I have seen a bride(my friend) who got her both days makeup from anam.. but that wasn't upto the expectations which I built watching her fb brides pics.. :( how was your experience at ANAM?? Need honest reply coz I'm toooooo much worried regarding MUA. ( anyother option except anam?? As i dont want want to spend 25-35k for 1 night makeup.. :/ )
Why all brides here are sooo lucky to have their wedding dresses by themselves??? I am getting jealous:p my both dresses will be from my in-laws side... Lets hope for the best.. how many of you will be moving abroad soon after marriage??
