Hey girls, how's all the preps going? I got back from Pak this month pretty much decided on the venues, just a word of warning for girls getting married in March/April every venue we went to said that March/April is the busiest time so need to book in venues ASAP as they were already getting bookings... Apart from that still have no ideas about my joras, started looking at honeymoon destinations and that's about it...do I need to get a move on? Or is there still more than enough time??

Hey, still not sure on mendhi venue but for Baraat- paradise complex in Islamabad and Walima- Topi Rakh in RWP, where's ur wedding being held?

farhak, if ur wedding is in march april, then i think u should order ur dress now. because already a crazy shadi season is about to begin..uske baad jab feb march april all are going to be full time shadi seasonso if u want to give ur designer enouggh time to think and work properly on ur dress. order asap :D

Hey, I can't really order my dress now as i am going to go to Pak around 6weeks before my wedding and will place my order then, I know it'll all be last min but I don't wanna be ordering over the net or anything and usually my designer is ok with a months notice so Inshallah should be okay.

Ok wedding/walima dresses should be ready in a month or so, but that's about it. :O

Have to decide on venue(s), decoration, photography, food, budget it all etc etc...

Any recommendations from Londoners?

Looks like I'm the first bride of 2013. My wedding is on the 6th January ! venues are pretty much sorted, just new to make an advance payment! Photographer and cinematographer booked but other than that nothing has been planned or done yet! I am being very indecisive! Everything I see looks pretty to me! Can't make my mind on what I should get in terms of wedding dresses! I've heard about fashion ka ghar and mohsin sons in Islamabad/pindi! Also I font want to spend tonns of money on dresses because I know I ant wear ten again! Coming all the way from Canada is already costing a lot of money! I'm super excited for getting nice clothes and shoes! I'm a shoe person so finding a perfect pair would be a hassle in Pakistan! Also, I don't know if any one of you have seen those box kind of clutches in Islamabad, please let me know! I have tried finding some in Canada and they are over 60$ which I think is pretty stupid to spend that much on a little thing :)

Well done on getting most of the stuff out of the way, now you can focus on getting the wedding dress that you want!!!! :) These clutches are readily available here in the UK, I'm not sure how it is in Pakistan- surely they should be available in some designer stores? I'm having my clothes made back home but I've requested that the shoes should be from here because I just despise the ones they sell over there, and handbags. :S 60$ seems about right for the clutches I've seen in Accessorise etc go up to £40-ish, but if you can manage to save up elsewhere I'm sure you should be able to get it :)

Kind of getting freaked out now though because most "nice" venues are already booked for the dates I want- March/April :(

Hey, I know what u mean about spending loads on wedding dresses, as for shopping in Pindi mohsin sons are good but in my view over rated and quite expensive! I would definitely recommend u to go to Sapna zari its 2mins from fashion ka ghar, I had my engagement dress made from them and my sister in law's walima outfit, the designer there is really nice and helpful he'll work with u on ur ideas and create something ul love, I know I'll definitely be getting both my baraat and walima outfits made there...
Have you decided on venues yet? Also when us your wedding?

hello i im also 2013 bride INSHALLAH yet date not deicde but INSHALLAH in march ..so u all start preparing for jahez suits or not ?dont know when to start i just bought some plain fabric and some cotton embrdy suits and sari hope fashion not change :)

no mehndi no maayun :D :p.. ok my parlour decided.. just have to go for booking..shadi dress order given.. 20 dresses ready. no shoes or clutches yet.. makeup my sis will bring from usa.. we wont give much to the in laws..

As salaam alikum ladies, I'm new to all this but i'm glad i've found others in the same boat as me :)
Congratulations to you all.. I'm also getting married in January Insha'Allah..
Don't exactly know when as my family don't allow weddings to take place during safar.. Is anyone else having the same issue?
