Do you find that you are able to find nice outfits in that price range? I live in the GTA as well and I have the same budget. I haven’t actually started shopping yet because my wedding date has not been finalized yet, but I’m not sure whether or not I’ll be able to go to Pakistan, and I don’t know where to look in the GTA or what to expect. Good luck to you with finding an outfit and if you could share info from your dress search it would be really appreciated by a fellow bride

RaniPakistani -- If you're able to go to Pakistan, then that would be best. But in the case that you aren't, there are quite a few options here. I'll give you a short list of who I've contacted thus far:
-Saira Shaikh -- Located on Mississauga Rd. She has a website too I believe, but it's quite outdated. Her collection is stunning! But, it is expensive as well. She showed me three bridals, one of which was $1,200 and the prettiest one was $2,000. So yes, she does carry very nice bridals for decent prices. The $2,000 one was exactly what I was looking for: chiffon ka dupatta with gorgeous kaam on ALL four sides! Usually the just do the heavy kaam on the three sides that show, and the shirt was also chiffon ki with heavy kaam, the gharara was banarsi jamawar. Gorgeous piece!
-Paisleys & Pearls -- She's also the same amount. But her clothes are more modern, not my style. But you can check her out on Facebook.
-Oriental Costumes -- Their prices have surprisingly gone down over the years. Their bridals are strictly okay -- at least when I went -- and the prices are $800-$2000. I believe you can make custom orders as well.

i went qurtuba for embroidery and told only embroidery charges.wat abt u??? i wil send u pics once all get done with complete stiching:)
i got embrioderies for like 10000, 8000, 9000 etc etc
didnt like quality of qurtuba market!

how??? i mean which places did u visit???
uptil now i m done with 4 formals only and one is of 18K other 13.5k then 13K and then least for 12k. but all my kaam and fabric and stitching is really fine. plus i hav visited bazar e faisal or qurtaba but found the quality really cheap. not upto my taste!

i was reading this thread where GINA recommend Laiqa hassan n i have seen her shoots on style 360 plus a real bride, she was good too so LAIQA is also added in my list. thinking to apply advance filter on my searching.lol

nahe i was busy in shopping so forgot looking for MUA for a while.. i heard that a new branch of Depilex has opened in North Nazimabad, makd if u visit that do let me know about their makeup ...

Congrats to everyone here who's getting married! :)
Looks like I'll be joining the "group" too....been engaged for approx. 6 months but we put off planning b/c fiance was studying for his 2nd board exam. Now that's over...and the shaadi planning starts.
I really have my heart set on getting married in April/early May (no logical reason behind this!). Just this week fiance & I started looking at venues, making guest lists.....I started "research" on where I can get bridal jora/MU/hair etc. Already feeling very overwhelmed and a bit freaked out.....reading the posts and seeing that others are nervous too helps. :)

Any idea how many formal/semi-formal dresses a bride should carry with herself?? My fiancee is in Saudi Arabia Khobar ] I will be leaving with him right after shaadi and honeymoon inshaALLAH blushing ].. I want to know how many dresses I should carry with myself ??I am thinking to go for Alle'nora or Depilex.. as I have read good feedback from some brides/friends about them.. any suggestion??I want to go for long shirt with lehnga on Baraat.. need suggestions related this too...
