me me me! in feb 2012 InshaAllaH, done wid few embroidery dresses will surely share the pics once all will be stiched. i picked Qurtuba Market(bahadurabad) for emboridery range Rs.1800 to 3500. havent visit gulf or ashyana yet, can any 1 tell is there any huge difference between qurtuba n gulf?i hers its same dats y i didnt visit yet :)

na na i m talking about embroidery only .. for embroidery i got ful suit embroidery(kora n all) for Rs.3000 to 3500 after bargaining. plus several others in 1800 1200 n so on

Gulf is little Expensive than Qurtuba !

yesterday i went to tariq road and the formals which i liked were starting from 20k to 35k. wayy tooo much expensive but they are so pretty

yes shanum i herd same but i m asking abt their work?any huge difference in work too? well i m done wid 7 formal embroidery. now thinking to go for some good formals wid lace or jamawar work.
@makd....y dont u copy that design:) dats wat i do. FYI u can get cotton stuff from fnkasia 50% off i got 3 shirts of 1600 to 1900 each.

what i found is qurtuba market karigars are more into thread embroidery while gulf karigars are expert in copying designs and making formals .. so for formals you should go to Gulf .. and if you want cheap embroidery then go to Bazaar e Faisal..

o yeah i went bazar e faisal too but frankly speaking theres no such difference in amount i mean i got embrodiery from bazar e faisal @ Rs.1800 and qurtuba quoted me 2100 for same kaam. i think he cud do 1800 too after bargaining but yeah the kaam difference among both bazars exist. bazar e faisal is full of old kaam and few latest as per my review.
now m searching for MUA:s unable to finalize any one yet i think apple blossom has booked rukaiya i want to know her feedback. looking for photographer too in reasonable amount i cant spend more than 15 16k if u knw any 1 plz do refer.

check OK PRODUCTION for photography, he is charging reasonable amount ..

i'm a second time bride and my all of my outfits in 08 didnt cost me as much as I was quoted for ONE from rani emaan.
at this rate, i'm wearing an american wedding dress I find off craigslist and adding some sleeves!!! lol.

uh yeah. you can buy a used car - ie: fully paid for 6K.
It’s a dress, not an investment piece. should we now go and get our wedding dresses insured too?

Sorry to change the topic from price tag shock (it is a bit over the top considering only a fraction of society can pay such prices), but I need some suggestions for wedding dresses 2012. From your experience or gutt feeling, which two designers would you opt for - Aeisha Varsey, Ahmad bilal, Karma, Mehdi or Rani Emaan. AV has some bad reviews here and AB has not been reviewed yet. Karma and Mehdi seem to have mixed opinions and RE is always a pleaser (confused!). Is it better to get both dresses from the same designer? I am ordering from overseas so it's gonna be risky. Is anyone else ordering from overseas?

uptil now i m done with 4 formals only and one is of 18K other 13.5k then 13K and then least for 12k. but all my kaam and fabric and stitching is really fine. plus i hav visited bazar e faisal or qurtaba but found the quality really cheap. not upto my taste!

$3500 for a wedding jora sounds pretty expensive – is this only pertaining to designers though? You can get a decent bridal dress for $1200-2000 by a non-designer. I’m going for a traditional gharara, so I’m opting for a non-designer. There are some here in the GTA (Ontario) who charge around that much. Even 2000 is too pricey for me. I’m trying to keep it below 1,200, let’s see how that goes
