m gonna make 8-9 kam walay dresses
6-7 embroided one
and 10 for normal daily use lawn brazee etc etc

How's everyone's planning going? So i've got a make up trial coming up.. Boy do I wish I was in Pakistan right now, or my wedding held there, because I can't seem to find a nice make up artist here in Aus :(!
But let's see I've got one lady booked, see how I go.
So much to do - Mehndi is stressing me out. Trying to organise all my friends for dance rehearsal's insane. I wanted to squeeze a couple of session before Ramadan since that's a month of freeze for planning.. Esp dancing lol!
Has any other 2012 join bride joined us lately.. we want to hear your story =)!

Hehe, my bad....Oh man don't ask how the planning is going! I haven't even started ANYTHING yet. We have just been going back and forth to find a good venue in Dallas! Unfortunately, the ones we like don't hold as many people...=( I shall be leaving to bombay and Pakistan in mid sept to shop for clothes.

Thank you so much for the duas Zainy...Congrats on your upcoming wedding as well. Good luck with the make-up trial--that is the most important thing to take care of before anything. I know a lady who had done my sisters so I'm satisfied on that end.
I too am stressing about organizing everything especially the dances. It's ridiculous getting everyone together and having to teach every little step! I just met up with my friends 2 days ago to figure out the songs so we can go ahead and practice before ramadan starts too. It didn't quite work out that day. Instead, we sat there and chilled, lol. That is exactly how my things are going right now!
What songs did you put together?

i will get married may b in feb or march.........wt length of shirt next year brides are making for formal and semi formals dresses ????
long or knee length..i want to get some of my dress stitched,,which length i should make.???

I am keeping most right below the knee. But frocks or A-lines will go lower.

Im getting married I.A end of 2012 towards oct-nov not planned anything yet except the millions of ideas in my head heheh

Well I had a similar expeirence to yours about dancing in my first session and boy was I stressing afterwards, It's taken me a bit to realise it will take time to get it all in shape but i hppe by thend of it will work out! I have another session soon let's hope that works out well. I am starting so early so I can play around with everyones availability and because I am overseas and working full time now - weekdays is a no no for me, leaving weekends to do all this plus a lot more ! I am starting to stress now.
Umm songs; to start off with I am complining classic songs from DDLJ & K3G but also ofcourse new ones from Tanu weds Manu, and Ayvi Ayvi. Not a big fan of Munni Badnam or Sheila loL!. But for girly dances there's heaps, ive been making a play list since like forever, it's just a matter of what my dancers wanna dance to hehe.
And all this planning is just for the 'dance' aspect of the Mehndi. Still have to organise decorator, then entrance etc etc.. oh God.. hehe.

Well, I have mostly got all my jehaz clothes made. So for the bridal, i am wearing farshi gharaha and the length of the shirt is about knee length. I wasn't sure whether it's too risky to make short or long seeing as the fashion change so much, and because I am going for the tradtional look the length should be okay.
With semi formal/formal outfits, one piece of advice would be not to make HEAPS in one go. I got like 7 or 8 real heavy ones, the average long length. not above kneee not to ankles just inbetween.
