jst gt bak from pak in November 2011… thinking September/ October 2012. I’m dreading the time as it gets closer. I just got engaged 1 week ago 
I’m getting married in Pak im from mirpur ends and hes from Pindi… dnt knw whether to do shopping here or bak in pak… Mirpur prices and those here hav no difference…
OMG getting nervous jst typing about the wedding… i keep changing my mind about colours and what i want to wear

Yay! I'm 2012 bride too! =) InshahAllah July... I've been visiting gs for a while, and now that I'm gonna be bride this year it's comforting to see fellow 2012 brides.
I've also been nervous and stressed with all the planning and organizing so it helps to see that I'm not the only one.
Btw, I'm going crazy choosing jahez outfits and worried about them going out of style even before I get to wear them...what length and styles are you all getting? And is 10000-15000 good range for each formal?

It's all starting to hit home now and I've been busy being stuff for my jaheiz. I've decided to buy clothes at a later date because I'm not getting married until September- November and I don't want to risk it. The only thing I've really shopped for is makeup, perfumes, a few shoes and bags. I've been careful to buy stuff which shouldn't go out of fashion too soon.
I was just wondering about my actual makeup for the functions.....when should I start shopping for that? I was thinking maybe 3 months before?

the day i stumbled across GS i knew planning the wedding is going to be easier than it would have been otherwise.everybody here is super helpful and is full of very practical and amazing ideas.u can discuss the minutest of details here and get amazing and detailed responses.

Yeahh April Inshallah :D so excited and nervous and worried and stressed! Haha. Tbh it doesn't seem real that I'm getting married! I'm getting married in London UK for the nikaah and then my hometown (which is 2 hours away from London) for valima :) thank goodness I sorted out majority of my stuff before this year started! Only have mehndi artist and videographer to sort out! All my clothes are sorted! Picked up my nikaah outfit last weekend and it just needs to be altered for my final fitting!

How long before ur wedding did you girls order ur dress if it wasnt from a high end designer. I will probably be getting a dress from a boutique or mayb home based designer within 1 lakh.... ?
Did you go to Pakistan for ur wedding shopping? and then again for ur wedding or did you go only once?.... coz goign twice doesnt sound practical but going once and wanting to choose ur wedding outfits would mean you will have to go atleast 2 months before ur wedding??

Funky nails..im from england - my mum went in november to pakistan to get my Valima outfit/my sisters clothes for ALL days of the wedding/my formal clothes for after the wedding and her clothes..then end of november i ordered my baraat outfit from here and it was collected last week. i think this amount of time was fine maybe a month early but she couldn't go later for personal conditions.
you don't really wanna be leaving such a big thing as your outfit 2 months before the wedding though really? in case anything goes wrong? etc
Zareen khan - bit of a weird question? I'm not wearing gold..cant stand the stuff so just wearing a artificial set!
