my wedding is 5 weeks away!!! I just got back from Pakistan a few days ago, finished all my shopping AH, Im so happy and excited about that!!!!! Im nervous now about the small stuff!!!!

Congrats to all the other gals who gave the order for weddin dress or re in the process hehe. I have not decided on the weddin dress yet hehehe.

Hey, I did most of my shopping in Lahore, but my lenghas were from Islamabad. My nikkah lengha is from @yas in Islamabad, and my reception lengha is from Rani Eman in Islamabad. My mehndi outfit is from Mina Hassan in Lahore. The rest of my clothes are from Lahore - I bought them from Amna Ajmal, Crystal'lia (its a store where all the work on the clothes is done in Swarovski crystals, absolutley gorgeous!), Mina Hassan, Zahra Ahmed, Sarah Salman, and then from Liberty as well. And all my jewellry is from Lahore as well (exccept my Kharay, which I ordered from Peshawer) - I bought 2 sets from Ruby Jewellers, and 1 from Singhar Jewellers.

and I read your calm you nerves thread..I hope some things will help. I am in major panic mode, think its starting to finally hit me now :( and this cold weather isn't helping my mood either, but I won't be seeing snow for a while in Pakistan...so guess I should enjoy it here.

Yaaa.. I just found out about my wedding date changing.. and the wedding is this Junee... ekkkk only 3 months to plan cuz my mom is out of town this month :(

its ok hun.. once u get the outfit.. the jewelry, shoes, and all just come quickly. Make sure u don't question ur decission.. i didnt get my mehendi outfit stitched yet cuz i feel like I will find something better and want tht style..

I bought it from a lady's house.. and then went to a couple of stores to get jewelry.. etc. but mahnnn all these things are expensivee.. expecially the jewelry.. and its not even gold!

Muslimah - I’m getting married July 10th inshAllah … u?

Um yea… I actually called one of my bridesmaids after I read some of the things in that thread and made her the “Official Calmer of the Nerves” on that day. She is a sweetheart… she promised she will come day before the wedding and help my family with everything, spend the night at the hotel with me the night before to have proper girl time and help me relax since I wont be in my own home, and she said she will take her “job” very seriously. Such a best friend. I totally am going to try to implement some of the tips. No drug usage yet tho… I have had more and more girls tell me that they took some sort of anti-anxiety meds before the wedding. My dad is so not letting that go down tho … :sigh:

Bad weather has me in such a bad mood..im so on edge and i keep getting into pathetic little arguments with my mom with anything wedding related. I know its bc we are both so tense and things r more complicated bc i live so far from her and the shaadi itself isnt even held at our home town…so hectic…

It’s crazy how expensive things are … i have a guilty conscious too so I’m just constantly feeling bad about how much money is being spent.

Oh I really like that pink outfit and the combination. Looks really pretty… and I think garnet jewlery would look just awesOme with it!!!

And yeah I have a picture of that HSY outfit saved in my computer as one of the designs I found on net and liked! I am going to collect all my fav pics first and then show them to my man! he said that I can pick a few outfits that I would like to wear on the Walima, but he gets to make the final decision form the choices that I select. Lol!

Many many congrats Saimab... and lucky you that you were able to go to Pakistan and shop for yourself. I live in the states and I was only able to get vacation for my wedding:( I really wish I could take a few months off and shop for myself. I will reach Karachi one week before my wedding, so my Khala will have to get everything ready for me. aah! I do want to shop for shoes and clutches myself when I go there. I guess I can do that in a day or two, if I go to the correct shops.
