Girls... this is not exactly relating to 2011 brides... but I kno there r some 2012 brides on here too.
WORST nightmare has come to life: my inlaws want us to get married right before Ramadhan bcuz its a BLESSING. They even suggested we go for umrah for our honeymoon... like ARE U KIDDING? :|
Any1 plannin a 2012 wedding - make sure u keep in mind that Ramadhan starts mid July.

My S/O and I want to get married that summer, because the main period of time that I can get time off from my job would be in July/August. But Ramadan comes SMACK DAB in the middle of that.

I am an April 2011 bride and I still haven't decided on my outfits..planning to go to Pakistan Lahore in 2 weeks time and need urgently some help inwhat are the fashion styles / colours/trends that are in for 2011. Who should be my main point of call to go to for Bridal Dresses? I want designer but the prices are extortionate! But I will still check them out. Anyone know where they do good imitations of designer outfits? Look forward to your help! Having read the post above I feel a little unorganised!

Thank you! About 3,000 for the shaadi & valima. I can not remember the price for mehndi & nikkah. We're considering other formal wear from her as well. Has anyone purchased from Nikki Nina? I found her website the other day, and love love love the designs. We're also going to be ordering some formal from Ahmed Bilal (IA)... Have you tried anyone other than Rani Emaan?

hahah ...its crazy how fast time flies!!!! Am I nervous to marry my fiance? Not at all. Am I nervous about all the wedding stuff in general .. yes. And I even opened up a thread about tips on how to keep calm on the wedding day. I needed (and still need) advice. lol
plans are coming along......slowly. My biggest problem right now...finding a DJ....

ok i like this halka kaam but not the color combination i am thinking to make this for my baraat bz i dont want to wear full bhara hua sharara ( i believe less is more :hypo: ) .. can u suggest some color combination which looks good on this type of halka kaam type sharara .. i am thinking of red and golden a pure traditional bride as i want to wear red on my barat :wub: … or suggest some nice color combination for barat

Farahsha, find the color combination that YOU want & get it done on similar jamawar/banarsi cloth with this kaam. It will look great, and it will be completely your style. I love that you are holding your ground & not going for something over-the-top. If you want 2 colors in your outfit, you can do shirt & dupatta one color, lehnga diff. color. Or you can do dupatta & lehnga same color, shirt diff color.

aww its very pretty farah!! But i think u shud go with red like deep red and with golden wod look amazing on this work and yes go for banarsi kapra/material. It will look niceeeeeeeeeee
