ok guys....I know this doesnt really have to do with me being a 2011 bride (even though I am), Im quitting my job today! Im so nervous...I have a meeting with my manager in half an hour to give him my notice. Im being nice and giving 3 weeks notice, even though my contract only says 2 weeks notice is needed. I am going to pakistan in january for my shopping, coming back mid-february, and my wedding is in March, and at the end of march I will be leaving for the states (where my fiance works). I am so nervous to quit...Im just a nervous person in general....everyone please pray that I get through it ok!!! when I get nervous, I start to sweat, and stutter and feel nausous. They know Im getting married, but I think they thought I would quit in March after I get married, not now!! ahhhhh....Im going to throw up Im so nervous!!!!
hey dont worry, InshaAllah everything will be fine & it is certainly okay to be nervous. I also feel nauseated when I am nervous and I so want to just get over things quickly. Do let us know hunnie how was ur day and how was ur quitting. hugs
ok, so I had the conversation with my manager over the phone, cause our head office is in the states, and he was really supportive, and told me that everyone would miss me, and they appreciate all the work I have done for them. Then i told my team here, and they were sad that Im leaving, but they are happy for me too. So everything went well AH. Nerves are gone, and Im back to normal now!!!

So as Visage mentioned its basically like Silk. You can go to ashaiyana and ask them where is Shamooz silk shops and they will guide you. Ashiana is flooded with them. They r basically printed shinny some what like Satun type material I will try to attach some pics if I find them.

I was supposed to have an engagement party in January but having issues about doing it at hall or home (we want to do it at home.. inlaws want it at their house). Anyways, so it it getting postponed. But I will still be getting married in 2012 June inshallah. lol. I think.
I'm actually getting married in March 2011. I already had my nikkah and am very excited for the upcoming rukhsati Inshallah. I live in the US however my wedding will be in karachi. I'm still trying to narrow down my options for bridal makeup, any suggestions? I personally am not a big fan of Bina Khan's bridal makeup. I went to Sabs for my nikkah makeup which turned out very pretty but I hate the way there were so many brides there, it was like a meat market!
