iv met his family and they are all soooo nice..love em 2 bits!
im just abit worried and stressed that every1 gets on and hope all the wedding and everythin goes well..theyr a bit more religious than we are so i just hope wer able to do everything right according to them.
and hmmmmmmmm..wonder wot my rings and walima jora will look like lolz xxx

I've also started working on the guestlist and wow is that tough task... how are you suppose to organize all those famillies with their names, number of children, addresses...

Everything related to weddings is high stress. The key is not to let the stress get to you and to enjoy the moment.

aaaaaaaaw thanx alot hun!o yh i knw wt u mean with the guestlists..when we did it for my sisters wedding it was a massive headache!now its slightly easier coz we know who to invite and who not o invite i.e people who didnt bother turnin up etc!xx

Awwwh so goood to see that there are so many who r gettin marry in 2010, its my first post.. I will get married in the middle of July. The hot month, and I havnt stressed until now. I do not live in pakistan, but he does. Although we are two completely different persons,but we like each alooot. And looking forward to getting married. But yes back to the stress, I'm stressing for my bridal outfit,and for the BIG day. will i look good, will he like me? oh for ubtan, for mehndiii for all days..we have arrangend went to love marriage...i like him aloooot..but the difference between the cultures, all thought our families r very alike, but still m i going to b able to customize the family and culture.. n yeaah back too stress again:P i'm so conscious abt my makeup:P i dont like too excessive makeup..so yeah rite choice wen it comes to salong in islamabad?... hm will he look good? will all go as planned. I'm not good wen it comes to cookin=/ soo wat will i do if they tell me to make something.. we both are very young..how will marriage life b?.. will he look after me.. will i b good life partner...how will our first meeting b after nikah and after rukhstii...uff its sooo many things...i havent meet him after our engagment n its been a year, n i have decided to not meet him before marriage, when we hvae waited for soo long, thought we could wait for the Big day.. but i'm in loove, n i want to b the girl he allways dreamed abt.. will i b able to b that girl... aaaahh all these thouughts r makin me crazyy:P i hope theres more girls out there wit same thoughts:P.. anyways girls i m having My dhoolki/ Ubtan here before i go to pakistan, n its veery soon..so wish me luck! Ive forgotten the name but its opposite a shop called Ensemble once I find out the name Ill post it asap...The service me and my fiance get from there is really good..we ordered 2 suits and now in the process of designing the sherwani for barat day..there actually based in Karachi.

I just came back from Lahore 2-3 weeks ago and Ive done all my clothes shopping!!
My Barat lengha is Red - its jamawar with bronze/gold work done on it!!
One piece of advice to brides to be whilst looking for lenghas please do not look in too many shops for your lengha I made this mistake and this resulted me being upset and confused..In the end I didnt know which one to chose and kept on thinking back ohh maybe that other one I saw was better...just go with what your heart says!!
I got 10 suits all together I got them from all over the place really.Anar Kali..Liberty and Defence i kept the suits medium not too heavy not too light...The only thing i found annoying was that shops are selling the kameez and dupputa together and the shalwar seperate soo I needed to get seperate kapara for the shalwar/pyjama and shamees sepearte and then get it dyed to the right colour and because the electricity was going soo much it was such hassle going back and forth...
I also got to chose my walima lengha..I got it from a shop called ENSEMBLE in Mall of Lahore..It was a Ritu Kumar creation its pastel green with silver work done on it and its beautiful!!
Otherwise my trip was good..it was too hot though..I had a great time at my BIL wedding my inlaws made all of my clothes to wear...My dholak suit was a really floaty dress champagne colour with silver work done on it..My fiance bought me this from Irum Imran..Mendhi outfit was beautiful guys..It was from a designer called Madeeha she is based in Faislabad it was a maxi frock with navy blue going into a mint green with silver work done on it..On the Barat i wore a lilac sharara and on the Walima I wore a pyjama with a gown - Ivory and Royal green..
My In laws also gifted me a gold set aswell..whatever there daughters had i had the exactly the same!!!
Anyway anymore questions feel free to ask...i had a lot of help doing my shopping so ill do my best to answer the questions :)

Sooo lucky you got to go to Pak! :) Congrats on your wedding! That all sounds sooo nice! What does your mehndi outfit look like? When is your wedding?
I am getting married in November and I have not started stressing out on the shadi part yet because I am still stressing out on my master’s dissertation 
Thank-You!!I didnt chose my mendhi outfit..They are in the process of choosing it this week!! But Im not really worried to be honest because my MIL has great taste in clothes and all th clothes up to now she has made for me have all been beautiful..

Congrats!!! Awww concentrate on your disseration and in your breaks and spare time then do some research and keep a note..this forum is great for researching and getting great ideas..if you do need any help then Im sure anyone of us will be happy to help each other!!!
