What are you talking about? The problem is far from over. I just spoke with my fellows over there and they told me they themselves heard about atleast 7 deaths just today within the people in know. Its epidemic and a calamity right now, not going easily.

I hope people understand that it's ok not to fast if they are not well or working long hours in the sun, i know fasting is mandatory but when you face life and death situation you are even permitted to eat haram so hopefully people realize this because 40+ degrees, no power or water and long hours without water is recipe for disaster :(

It is summer and heat stroke is still possible and due to Ramadan it can happen more . Weather is like normal summer now . Now being noticed only , Otherwise it is normal just like ever , Poor people normally face this more .

I'd like for the religious clergy to just come out and say no fasting if it hits higher than 102 degrees. In situations like this they need to use their common sense.

It can not e fixed on temperature , This depends upon the environment and physical condition of the person fasting , It is religious issue and not so easy to decide , 'rukhsat' is on special terms .

I am at Karachi since first Ramzan. The hell temperatures were never known to me before. On the top of it continuous load shading by federal government. The major reason of deaths are load shading for which federal government is responsible. I want N$ to come to Karachi stay in a house/ flat when there is no electricity.

interesting thing is the heat stroke occurs while working outside, dont know if there are AC's in Karachi's atmosphere or not. THe opposition is trying to pin this calamity on loadshedding, lets agree to this for a minute. What relief did the provincial government offer to the people?

Fed Govt provided and still providing 650MW to KHI uninterrupted despite the fact that agreement is over with KE.

Industries in Punjab is now on 6 to 8 hrs load shedding which was 0 before Ramzan

all those blaming on Fed Govt. just trying to save Sindh Govt and its horrible crimes... the most inept Govt on the face of the Earth

Remember Tharparkar 900+ infants deaths !

Sindh govt is rubbish....but are you telling me the Pak govt had no obligation in Tharparkar???

Nawaz Sharif has given little reources towards ending load -shedding, too busy making money with his turkish and chinese deals.

Due to power projects in pipeline, By end of 2017, load shedding will be about 60 to 70% less. Until then we have to bear the brunt of policies of past 30 years. General Ayub Khan, May Allah shower His blessing on Him, gave Pakistan Mangla Dam (1000 MW) in 1968 and Tarbela Dam (1974) of 3750 MW and still we are getting Rs. 1.50/KWHr from these 2 Dams and since 1974 we have not build a singla mega hydel power generation dam. 40,000 MW available on Indus River Cascade from GB to downstream of Kalabagh. We are eating the fruits of what we did in past 40 years by not giving a single mega dam to our Nation

Why are we ganged up against PMLN?

Power shortage is not because K-Electric. Energy companies willing to sell their power to customers, why they want to break down. Reason is that they either don't get enough supply or unable to purchase oil.

The direct responsible party of government is ministry of Power. In second tier, political parties of KPK, Sindh and Balochistan. They all are against Kalabagh dam. Their concern are genuine, need of the time is to create consensus..
