almost everyone knows by now about India’s presence and activities in US occupied Afghanistan, there is nothing hidden. and when i say who is rival i do not mean its only idea. in the case of tourism etc yes india is rival but this whole TTP saga is US/India supported and i don’t need to google all news stories advocating this. Govt of pakistan has previously even given proves of US/India backing TTP and BLA. and Afghan Taliban are also on record sooooo many times categorically stating that TTP is a separate group operating independently without their consent and against their declared motives. rest its upto every one which narrative of the events the choose to believe, but to call it a conspiracy theory that India/US are behind TTP is childish

The military needs go after these people & there is no excuse for this incident and their incompetence. They also need to cut off ties to jihadi groups. There should be one state/govt and policy, and so so called "non-state" actors should not be part of it.

Regardless of who is supporting whom, there's no excuse for security lapses. We know there's a long list of them. If the army has proofs of foreign involvement they should share it with the world, otherwise keep quiet and suffer.

I was not giving any "excuse" for security lapses if you read it again, i was only answering to a post regarding conspiracy theory of TTP. as far as security lapse is concerned, i've already talked about it earlier in this thread.

Gilgit is probably one of the most naturally beautiful places of the world. Shocking and reprehensible attack. I hope the perpetrators will be brought to justice and given the strictest, severest punishment possible.

l understand these are confusing, difficult times for the country but please spare us the done-to-death conspiracy theories about those terrorist groups backed by "US/India." For starters, "Govt of Pak" has NEVER given *any "*proves" that TTP/BLA are supported by any other country notwithstanding Rehman Malik's countless diatribes about "external hand." Besides even a conspiracy theorist should recognize the implausibility of the theory that the West and the United States would spend billions if not trillions of $ trying to stabilize the godforsaken jungle that is Afghanistan and purge the taliban from there while also simultaneously supporting taliban's brothers-in-arms in Pak who are aiming to impose the same despicable totalitarianism on a much larger scale and in much more important Pakistan that the taliban did in Afg. No one wants more troubles emanating from the region.
Also I would imagine India would not frolic with those terrorists either because when you nurture snakes to bite someone else, as Pakistan unfortunately did to bite Indians and Afghans, it might not be long before those snakes come to bite you as well. And if you say that no some elements in India might be trying to exact some kind of tit-for-tat for Pakistan's misadventures in Kashmir then where is the evidence? All-Powerful Army and intelligence agencies of Pakistan that together eat up bulk of the country's resources and despite doing so are held in very high esteem by majority of the county's people can't be so extremely useless that they have failed to uncover any evidence of Indian support for TTP. And if TTP savages are supported by India/China/Ethiopia or whatever then that is all the more reason to counter the threat they pose aggressively and wipe those TTP savages out of the surface of the earth instead of trying to rationalize their violence and dilly-dallying about 'negotiations' and other such nonsense.

If you be honest and genuinely fight against these monsters then whole world will be with you. Aleast arrest all those who killed the tourists , bring them to justice and let law take its course instead of executing them. That will help in not getting tourism affected.
In mumbai attacks, those piglets killed lot more foreign tourists in India and raped and tortured so many female white ladies. But still the world stood by us and lot more foreign tourists started visiting hotel taj and leopald cafe just to make the statement. Lot more Jewish people come from israel to pay their homage at nariman house.
What happened cannot be undone, only thing that can be done is to make justice previl and arrest those guys instead of blaming it on third parties.

Time for army to launch full scale military operation in Quetta, Karachi, KPK and Southern Punjab, in fact whole of Punjab. 12 year focus on FATA has produced no result no relief whatsoever so obviously its time to think that FATA is not the part of the problem.
Good luck to the army sending firing tanks and chopers to every nook and corner of Pakistan.

I read this news early Sunday morning while getting ready for a climbing trip and on my way to the mountain one of my climber friends who has hiked and climbed in India, Nepal, Tajitikistan, Russia, Europe, South America and all over Colorado Rockies and is a great high altitude runner as well, told me that next year she and one of her friends are planning to do a back packing trip to northern Pak to get to base camp of K2.
I did not have heart to tell her about this news that I read just 2 hours before and I just went quite.
As I have said before on PA that religious extremism, intolerance in Pak is basically just the tip of the iceberg and by each passing day, passing week, passing month it's getting worst and worst.

How twisted the reasoning for killing Chinese and Ukrainian climbers in Gilgit-Balistan near Nanga Parbat. These terrorists have been creating havoc all over Pakistan and now they are not even leaving those peaceful tourists who come and contribute towards the country’s dying tourism industry. There is no excuse for even one person to support these killers who have blatantly killed and proudly claimed responsibility of their heinous crimes over and over again. We all need to call out the enemy for what they are and remain united against this common enemy of humanity. By sticking together we can work to bring about sustained peace in the region.

Calm down! How about sending in the Army to take out the TTP in NW, and boosting the police and intelligence to take on the militants hiding in the cities...
No one thinks the Army should go into the cities. Rational people understand that some jobs are best handled by police while others are best handled by the Army.
