wow, isn't 65,000 and 85,000 rupees expensive for a bridal lengha that you will only wear once in your life?
Girls...where is the best places (shops) in Lahore for Bridal dresses that are reasonable prices and still very nice?
Also...is it better to get something ready-made or buy the fabric and get it made yourself?
i think thats what you're looking at though in terms of average pricing.
getting it readymade means its yours instantly but you can't customise anything- it is what it is. but if you love it, then it doesn't matter, right? getting it made from scratch means lots of running around and headaches, unless you go to a designer and get her to run around on your behalf. but then you'll most likely pay quite a bit for the privilege of only going for the fun stuff- choosing the colors/patterns, your fittings, and picking it up!
I've just come back from a MASSIVE shopping trip to Lahore and bought an outfit for my sisters Nikkah. Not recieved it yet as it's on order but I have to say Zardozi's customer service is fab. They were right there in helping me select fabrics, embroidary, cuts, etc. When I got slightly carried away with designs, the shop assistant didn't hesitate to correct me in terms of less is more! I paid 14000 Rs for an elegant shalwar kameez.
Will reveal more when I recieve the outfit inshallah. x
gina- yeah i have seen this one too but its not working anymore. maybe the original poster can try calling the actual zardozi store and asking for the address?
I went to Zardozi in Liberty market, Lahore.. & it was AMAZING.......(their bridal collection is in the basement), all the bridal lehngas were very pretty & in a good price range (from 50,000 to 75,000Rs), I'll definately consider it before finalizing my lehnga!
Don't know abt Karachi.. but in Lahore it was Greatttttttttttt... I had checked all the shops in Liberty & just liked Zardozi for bridals & Aroosia boutique for formal wear. in Lahore its in Liberty gol chakar market.
Zardozi is originally from Lahore but now they have an outlet in Karachi too. I got my bridal dress from there and many of my cousins got lightly embroidered dresses from the one in Karachi. They deliver on time and though the designs aren't out of the world or really unique yet they are different from the rest, which is why I always recommend girls to at least pay one visit to the shop.
I wonder if they had (have) a branch near Moti bazar on the road that goes to China bazar because I bought my after wedding stuff from that shop, unfortunately I forget the name of the shop but they were the best and customer service was sooo good.
I just received a formal outfit from there recently. My sister was visiting Lahore and somehow stumbled into their shop. She only had about 5 days left in Pakistan. She selected a formal outfit for me that needed to be stitched. I gave my measurements over the phone. They stitched the outfit and sent it to her in Karachi within 3 days. The outfit was 24,000 rupees. It is very nice. Good quality and I think the service was amazing. I didn't think they were going to have it done in time for her departure, but they really booked it on this.
