I am not saying that there is no corruption in the military. I met the chief auditor of Habib Bank with my brother during my last visit in Dec 2009. He told us that there is corruption during both democratic and military rule. However, during military rule, corruption is limited to upper class only - generals, brigadiers maximam but not colonels and below. However, during political rule, even section officers and naib qasids take bribes. Hence, the level of corruption during democratic rule is much higher. Just compare the GDP growth and exchange rates during both types of government to get a clear picture of ground realities. NS had literally brought Pakistan to it’s knees in 1998.

What a great Joke. Did you said that during army rule Naib Qasid or clerks don’t take bribe.
