Zardari perhaps did not take 10% during the last PPP rule. Does that clear him of his past crimes?
These days, all PMLN can be heard saying is that in the past year, there hasnt been a single case of corruption brought forward. Is this supposed to clear them of all their past crimes?

MQM was part of former PPP government. Zardari did his most to please them to get them remain in the government. I don't understand what personal grudge do you have against Zardari?

A nice thread hanibal. For the last many years I have only read on this forum, profanity, abusive language, insults, and personal attacks only against this guy. With the kind of partisanship on display here, I don't know how useful it is to post anything objective but I'll give it a try.
Corruption is a fact of life in Pakistan. The PPP lot were no more or less corrupt than the present lot or all the other parties around at the time.
The reason everyone thinks that they were more corrupt is because the media-SC nexus was campaigning against PPP as soon they got in. Geo and that corrupt to the core CJ ran a campaign to malign ppp and that's what people base their opinion on.
It was a Herculean feat to survive for five years despite the most powerful players trying to bring them down. I mean we started hearing how Pakistan was going to be bankrupt within a month or two of Zardari coming in.
