Bint, yes the rice did change colour … the colour was fabulous yellow after the rice came out…
About how much water I put in the cheenta , just two tablespoons , enough for the sugar to melt…
and ilaichi taste was there in the zarda … thank god ![]()
and about dum, I put the rice on dum for a good 20 minutes , but i didnt fold them in between … bus dum ker dia , then opened it after 20 minutes …

Ooh - you should try yogurt with kiwaami sevaiyan (the super sweet, sticky version) - same concept and to take a phrase from Rachael Ray YUMM-O!

i love mutanjan, when i first read this thread i so wanted to ask the same question but could’nt remember what it was called, anyhow i have yet to master simple zarda…long way off from mutanjan:bummer:
