Paaaaathetic!
Two Mullahtic gangs Deobandi and Brelvis are going for each other's jagular in the name of Allah and Rasool pbuh.
This is not too different from the warlords of FATA, Afghanistan, or Somalia, or other primitive tree dwelling tribes of Africa.
it is time to ditch all these Mullahs.
Whoever follows these Mullahs will drown while these bearded people will safely takes their @rses to European countries and live their on government doleouts.

Generalizing against an entire sub-community is akin to personal insults, especially to those who might follow these schools of thought.
Best if you quit generalizing and using the term "Mullah" so loosely. Please take a break, and come back when you can truly contribute rather than provoking others.
Thank you.

Re: Zaid Hamid & Jamiat Ulema Pakistan- Both sides of the story
In Zia's time during Nov 1986 to summer of 1987, a military exercise was conducted in the Thar desert opposite to Sind pakistan by the Indian Army, it was and still is the biggest military exercise conducted by any country after the World War II.... Aim of that operation was to bisect pakistan into two halves via massive surgical strike via Sind....name of this military operation was brasstacks....After operation brasstacks ....started the famous cricket diplomacy of Zia and pakistan wanting to build the strategic depth in Afghanistan...if by chance Indian Army enters Pakistan.... Afghanistan can be used by Pakistan army to re group and attack India...
If someone can let people know on this forum, how this organization brasstacks in pakistan came into existence , who are the founders and who are the financiers of it????
yamaha bhai,
No need to weave things together where there are none. Let’s avoid conspiratorial stuff about ZH.
Here is a simple description of brass tacks. You can read more on wiki.
Brass tacks is an object used in the expression “get down to brass tacks”. The expression usually means clearing out confusing details and finding out the real facts about something.
Brass tacks - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Go back to the description of the term “brass tacks” on wiki and you will understand that Indian military was trying to “clarify their operational strategy” by conducting “brass tacks”.
This is a general expression. And one can seriously doubt that there is a link between ZH and Indian army exercise so many years ago.
This is the biggest misconception by Indians about the “strategic depth” concept.
No you cannot attack Indian army once you lose the mainland Pakistan (Allah maaf keray).
Pakistan army cannot attack back from Afghanistan. There are only few passes that are wide enough to let large scale invasion of modern day. We are not living in the time when armies used horses and donkeys.
Secondly, Afghanistan is a land locked country and all its supplies go through Pakistan. Once these land routes are cut, anyone sitting in Afghanistan is just a “sitting duck”.
In reality the object is relatively simply.
Keep up dirty hands of Indians out of Afghanistan so that “Indians cannot use Afghanistan” to stir up trouble in FATA and Frontier.
Right now USA is not allowing Indians, Iranians, and Russians to operate freely along Afghanistan’s Eastern borders, and thus it was relatively easy for Pak army to wipe out Talibots from most of the FATA and Swat.

That’s all.
Yar, I have no idea what brasstacks means, I’ve heared it only twice 1) military operation of India 2) ZZH…but who is funding ZZH???
The concept of Afghanistan being used as strategic depth by Pak fauj is extremely old…You have given very good reasoning but unfortunately …this “strategic depth” idea has been sold by Pak Intelligence in many cases for the past 20/30 years…
Here is an article by Kamran Shafi
We are engaged in the Great Game in Afghanistan, we are told, because ‘strategic depth’ is vital for Pakistan due to the fact that our country is very narrow at its middle and could well be cut into half by an Indian attack in force. Strategic depth, we are further informed, will give respite to our armed forces which could withdraw into Afghanistan to then regroup and mount counter-attacks on Indian forces in Pakistan. I ask you!
Here is the complete article
DAWN.COM | Columnists | Defining ?strategic depth?
As far as Talibots are concerned, it was Pakistan, Wahabi Saudis and UAE, these were only only 3 countries in the world that recognized Talibots as a regime…there was no other country that recognized them…
question to Pakistan is why does Pakistan think that Taliban is good for Afghanistan but not good enough for Pakistan??? They are considered terrorists in Pak sar zameen but legitimate rulers of Afghanistan!!!
Why are these double standards being adopted???
In case of Indian operations in Afghanistan, there are less than 200 Indian soldiers in Afghanistan that are deployed to protect the road construction etc etc work…
If TTP can attack Pakistan on borrowed twisted ideology of attacking muslims, which originated in egypt, why dont you think they can import the hardware to support same ideology??? Indian will be happiest nation the day these Talibots will be extinct…

......
No problem. Now you know ;)
Wiki is a good place. Isn't it?

There are many versions of strategic depth. And Kamran has his own.
However even a basic logistician army guy knows that it will be a nightmare to attack India from Afghanistan.
Many "analysts" about Afghanistan are living in an old world, when air power was n't around. These days unless you have a super duper power supporting an insurgency, the results are generally in favor of the army with superior air power, and control of the supply routes.
So yes listen to Kamran Shafi, but don't believe on everything he is saying.

TTP is using little toys and cowardly suicide bombing. These are just terror weapons to scare unarmed civilians.
Modern armies like Pakistanis or Indians can whoop any Talibot @rse any time day or night.

Re: Zaid Hamid & Jamiat Ulema Pakistan- Both sides of the story
two idiots that deserve each other. one perpetually obsessed with ahmadi conspiracies, the other with jingoism.
may they drag each other down to irrelevance.

So a looooooooooooong time under gora boots is a source of pride for you???
The original comment (that you missed totally) was to show that modern armies can make it very difficult for a successful insurgency. (unless the insurgents are funded by another superpower).
The most the insurgents do is kill and maim their own people.
But this will be too fine of an idea to go through emotionally charged brain cells.

keep the titles for yourself
if you cant comment on the islamic importance of khatam e nabuwat or comment on the danger of allowing a person, whose position on khatam e nabuwat is questionable, to teach unsuspecting muslims then its best you stay shush
Re: Zaid Hamid & Jamiat Ulema Pakistan- Both sides of the story
yeah and i wait for your opinion to decide whats best.
since we're doling out unsolicited advice, instead of wasting all your energy online why dont you go lynch an ahmadi.

huh under gora boots? that's like saying the amreekans are ruling Afghanistan like the British ruled India. Gimme a break buddy. Looooooooong time only says one thing, these "MODERN ARMIES" have never been successful against the Mujahideen. The Romans, Persians, Alexander, British, now the Amreekans and their bumkissing friends.
