I was about to book him for my wedding but then I changed my mind. I mean his pictures are great for a Vogue shoot not for a wedding!
Most of the time, you can't even see the couple's face and his pictures are soooo dark and depressing! I get that it's 'art' and all but I want the photographer to capture the essence of my wedding i.e. happiness and joy not take me and my husband for a Vogue shoot.

wow i've never seen his work before but i like it! it is very editorial but these are also his showcase shots... did you ever see a full wedding shot by him, august? was it all like this or did he also have other shots?

It would be interesting to see how a complete wedding shoot looks like by him as the few shots posted are highlights of his career. His work is def nice but too pricey in my opinion!

Yeah I have seen many wedding shoots by him. All his albums look like a Vogue shoot. I mean I would really like them if I see them in an art gallery but I just don't think they are good wedding pictures. Also, they are very dark. I think wedding pictures should be bright and colorful. Honestly it's a matter of personal preference. I think you should emphasize the couple and the expressions on their faces. He makes the picture so artsy that the couple is usually standing in some small corner and you can't even see their face properly. Too overly dramatic for me!
Oh and he photoshops to the max just like Garima. I know every photographer photshops but there is photoshop to make a picture look better and then there's photoshop that ends up making a picture look fake! He is very popular amongst the desis these days. They all love his work.

As someone who has used Z Molu Photography ,I can tell you I would not use him again nor recommend him to anyone that is looking for customer service. He can take some great shots but he has no follow up or care for his customer. You are not getting what you pay for in my opinion.

Never heard of him - but his work looks good.
Although I would really to see more fresh images & less fashion/editorial. His shooting style is great (angles, concepts), it's just the editing is very similar for most pics...I don't see much variety.

Lol... agree with that last part about Garmina. I said this ages ago but people didn't get it!

To each their own..some people like more stylized images and some like more candid images. It's only important to the couple to select a photographer that suits what they like. There's no ONE way that weddings SHOULD be represented imo. When people here say that some of his images are similar, that's actually something to look for in a photographer, this is because his style is CONSISTENT. You don't want to hire a photographer a year in advance based on what you see in their portfolio and then to have it totally be revamped by the time your wedding comes around.
I've been to a wedding where Z Molu was the photographer and he represented himself as very easy going person that had no ego at all. Many high end photographers seem to be in their own little world and never consider what the couple wants. My friend's wedding was captured with a mix of candids and some editorial/fashion styled images. My personal taste is to have a mix of both, I've been to some weddings where the photographer just stands in the corner and snipes away and waiting for the perfect moment to happen. Sometimes they never do, so an experience photographer can help make that moment happen. The scene can be staged but the emotions are real, and that's what really matters to the couple and their families when they look back on these images years later!

I really love his work and contacted him for pricing etc. We went back and forth a few times but he's way too pricey for us (a bit over $4000 for 8 hours - not including any albums or anything)... his service does seem not upto par imo. Sometimes there would be a 2 week delay between my inquiry and their response.... but they were nice enough when they did respond.

I personally think his portfolio is breathtaking! But definitely more high-end :S Garima Singh is fabulous as well! Her pictures are more bold and colorful. A friend of mine had Garima Singh as her photographer and had very nice things to say about her and her service. However both these photographers are pricey. You can still have a beautiful wedding album without spending all the bucks.
Aamer Kapadia or Talha Siddiqui are affordable photographers with wonderful portfolios. You can check them out on Facebook. Even Ali K is great!

Ooooo Amna Hakim is fantabulous!! But you have to pay for her travel costs (guessing you're in the GTA area), and I'm unsure of where your wedding will be.
