yvonne Ridley's views on suicide bombings and al-Qaeda

Re: yvonne Ridley praises suicide bombings and al-Qaeda

Walekum assalam

We're talking about different things if I criticize her for what she says, and you implicitly believe her because of who she is.

You say she found the truth, and Allah guided her to Taliban. Why? Because of your worldview. We live in a big world though, and many journalists have converted to many ideologies, many abhorrent to you. Let us not take a caucasian journalist of no particular repute's conversion to a particular form of Islam as patent proof that her worldview, or her writing is divinely guided.

You have no means of ascertaining who guided her, you cannot speak for Allah.

Now, I have no personal grudges against anyone. Seeing her writing however, I find the structure you will find in articles defending or rationalizing american atrocities, the same selective presentation of reality and presentation of mitigating circumstances.

Please be under no illusion though that this causes a huge ruckus or she spoke the truth and the whole world came running after her. she, unfortunately has had more or less the same success in her journalism endeavours after her reversion as she had before. and that was never much. and im glad about that, i would prefer prominent Muslim voices to be honest, towards everyone, especially ourselves.

i spent many, many hours on this site and others railing against american right wing propaganda. how can we honestly then accept similar fare coming from ourselves? it is instinctive when under attack to cling to the first voice that supports you. not particularly worthy though.
