On the status of the team and morale: “This is a new team and when the Pakistan Cricket Board gave me the team as a captain [it was] nowhere,” Yousuf said.
On his batting:
***“And as a batsman I feel my form is excellent, better than the whole team. But unfortunately I did not make runs. I am hitting them right in the middle, but have not made any runs.”
There is actually some truth to it. He has looked to be in good touch, but has gotten out without scoring many runs. On the other hand, an in-form batsman must have the ability to score runs no matter what.
Re: Yousuf: I am the team's most in-form batsman. The team was nowhere before I took
What's ironic (and sad) is that Yousuf feels he himself is the most in-form batsman in the team. Yet he hasn't scored any runs. Salman Butt on the other hand, has played many significant innings in this series, yet Yousuf labeled him as "lazy, selfish, playing for himself," etc. etc.
Re: Yousuf: I am the team's most in-form batsman. The team was nowhere before I took
Goes to show the mentality of the skipper. He might be a great batsman, but is NOT captaincy material. Problem with our team is that the captaincy is automatically given to the most senior member of the team, even if they have zero leadership skills. This stupidity will not stop until and unless we appoint someone with actual leadership skills as captain, and that too on a long term basis.
Wow!! After listening to all these f..k.d up comments lately from yousuf one would think how come this idiot got this job in the first place?
Seems like his insecurity levels are so high now that he is trouble keeping his mouth shut. First Butt, then Manzoor and now the whole team, what's next?
oye ullu kay kaan, hum nay form ko sarr mein marnaa hay agar runs naheen score hotay?
oh how I miss the old Yousuf... the pre-ICL Yousuf. the not bitter Yousuf... the Yousuf who did his business on the field and didn't give statements all the time. the Yousuf who crossed himself when he got to a milestone (yes, let the fatwas flow)... the Yousuf who would fight when all our batsmen would fold. the Yousuf who would score a fighting fifty in the death overs and throw away his wicket trying to get quick runs for the team instead of coming back not out and boosting his average... I miss the old Yousuf. he was a good player... and a very likable guy. the Yousuf of the last 4-5 years is not the Yousuf I was a fan of... old Yousuf come back... you are missed.

I would say something... but I'll get into trouble...
all I'll say is that when I see a beard... I remember 900 mice, a cat eating them and then heading off to Hajj... and in Afridi's case, the cat is still feasting on the mice and is yet to go for Hajj. seems like growing a beard gives you the license to be an ass in the team...
for once I agree with him. Our team was going nowhere because we occassionaly won some games but now thanks to our savior Yousuf our team has a whopping zero wins. Clearly he took the team somewhere(bottom)
Re: Yousuf: I am the team's most in-form batsman. The team was nowhere before I took
We were doing alright before Yousuf took over as captain. we were in semis of the CT
And yeah Yousuf is the most defensive captain I have ever seen in my life man he takes out the slips in the third over
