Well, according to this logic we can't attend marriage of a non muslim friend/relative either because they have different values (like drinking etc).

I am not putting down heterosexual marriages, I simply said that gay couples tend to not take marriage for granted because most aren't even allowed to get married to begin with.

Umm I'd go. I have a couple of gay/lesbian friends and if they consider me close enough of a friend to invite me then of course I'd go. To be honest, I don't think going to a gay wedding would hurt my izzat or whatever, they're human too and deserve to be happy. Plus it would give me a break from those crazy blinged out desi weddings I'm used to.

awwwhhh, when i first interacted with TLK and had doubts about his sexuality.. i would've damn well attended his wedding because we are such good friends and i would never have held his gayness against him <3

No, the best logic is that Western countries are secular, and religion has no place in a civil union. All citizens should have the same rights.

One might oppose gay marriage because of their religious views, but would they not then be imposing their views on atheists or agnostics? Is that fair?

And if you're against a secular country, then keep in mind that under a Christian theocracy none of us would be living in the West, and we would be persecuted and murdered.

There is a huge diff between gay relationship and gay marriage. I am not against the first one. Its everyone's life. But gay marriage is an intervention in an institute that was sepcifically formulated for the heterosexual people. Gays have no right to enter that domain. Marriage is not about sex or how you perform it. Its about taking part in the natural evolution in a way in which you can justifiably pass your legacy/inheritance to another person whom your brought into this world.

If Gays love their life style so much then why do they go and adopt kids that came into this world through heterosexual relationship? I always fail to understand that.
