NKS, GMP, A Morning Show with Farah, She’s on One with Sahir…and if there are any other that you watch :slight_smile:

Don’t just name your favorite, i need your opinion on all these shows or the ones u watch or have seen of couple times.

I m nt a regular watcher of any of these shows. However i have seen enuff of them to form an opinion.

There is no single morning show that i really like lots but at times few episodes r good here n there for all the shows.

NKS- I think it has gotten boring now. Maybe its the lack of good guests?! Im not too fond of nadia either cuz i think she overacts and is not genuine. But i do think she is a good host, she can make a conversation and keep the programming rolling without looking odd or out of place. She is witty and has the presence of mind which is what makes her so popular i think.

Suggestions: 1) Pls get a better, bt not over the top looking set.

  1. Try being genuine, saying things to really mean.

  2. Get rid of that very annoying wannabe-teenager fitness trainer :smiley: and javar who takes ages to read out the outdated n boring bollywood news.

  3. Get rid of the abs belt u wear, it does make u luk slim but its just so obvious :stuck_out_tongue:

GMP- Boring! Seriously, i wonder why any of the morning cnt seem to hve interesting stuff on their show. I think i must have enjoyed only a few of their episodes…the one with naeem bukhari, anita ayub and few others. The good tht i see on this show is their set. Though i still see few things they cn get rid of n make the whole think look better but its alot better thn nks n other shows. Shaista seems like a nice, genuine person though the last i saw of her n the stupid lion dare i was left thinking if she was really genuine. LOL. But yah i think she is not a good host, she lacks the ability of making a smooth convo and saying something witty and def lacks presence of mind. She was totally overshadowed interviewing all those indian stars, she seemed to be in awe of them. Which i can understand but as a host, she shud be able to get a hold on herself. This is where nadia scores over her. But yah, she is well dressed most of the time and tht’s really good. Also i like that section abt career advice.

Suggestions:

  1. Shaista needs to brush up her hosting skills. She can do it, should tke tips frm her bro :stuck_out_tongue:

  2. Please for God’s sake intro something fun n interesting. Maybe a fashion section since she seems to have a good sense of it.

  3. Time to change that overrepeated n boring line “brightest, most successful day”…

  4. Please, Kindly DO NOT go the nadia way by endrosing such stupid things like snake, lion dare on yr show.

i don’t care about the host or the show at all. i care about the guest only. if they invite an interesting person theek, warna channel changed

She’s On with Sahir: Sahir! I really adore him but me, being the unbiased person that im will admit that this show needs alot of work to make it interesting and if it really wants to run another season. For starters, they have a very good host in Sahir so i dont know what keeps them from making it an interesting show.They do invite interesting guests at times but mostly there r people who r nt that interesting or known :P.

Totally love how Sahir experiments with his clothes (AND COLORS) and looks. He does at times looks bit off but hey, you gotta give that men the credit to try diff looks and carry most of them with such grace and confidence. And he’s very good with his guests, respectful-fun-loving and appreciative of them. I am sure the guests must feel their best on his show.

Suggestions:

  1. Get rid of that very annoying looking, dumb and another wannabe a teenager lady whose name i dont know. LOL. And What the hell exactly is she doing on the show?!

  2. The Set is SO BORING! Seriously do something about it.

  3. Have something interesting on the show. I dont know maybe some have some kind of competition or whatever.

A Morning Show with Farah: I guess she may not be that popular but she is not doing that bad for herself or the show. I think she’s talented, a good host for sure. Though at times she can be little too blunt for the guests respect like in deedar’s episode. But she is opiniated, honest and forthright and i like that about her. She does tend to dress up like a clown alot of times and totally in a look which looks totally bizarre for a morning show. But she’s nt bad looking and her voice n the way she speaks is her real asset i believe. I find her interesting as in i would like to know more about her personal views as i think she is an intelligent individual.

Suggestions:

  1. REDO the Set.

  2. Change your designer ASAP.

  3. She is different from other hosts so she should cash on it by introducing something very different on her show which becomes her trademark. She seems capable.

You forgot Morning with HUM on Hum TV.

It used to be a great show when Ghazal was the host. I never missed it even though it meant staying up till 1 am to watch but so worth it. It started with morning exercise, then they had doctors/psychiatrists come to speak about different stuff, and in the end, a celebrity guest for about an hour. I was amazed at how much one can learn from watching this stuff. That was followed by Chef Rahat’s show. Sanam Baloch is hosting it now and she’s nowhere as good as Ghazal was. That was the only show I followed for more than a year, very regularly, even on vacations.

I watched NKS only because I found Nadia hilarious and the guest selection was good. But I agree with you, it has lost it’s charm- now it’s all about Nadia, her family, her set, her clothes, her this, her that.. basically, the name of the show fits right. Watch it if you’re a diehard NK fan and can bear anything she talks about but if looking for entertainment, switch the channel.

Now GMP: I heard sooooo much about that woman who hosts this show- how she’s so intelligent, decent, blah blah.. I watched it once and fell asleep. No offence but her voice is HIGHLY irritating and she’s so not a good host. I did the mistake of watching her show with Shahrukh Khan and Kareena, and I died of embarassment- how annoying was she!!!

Oh, how I miss Marina Khan’s morning show. Even though I wasn’t a regular watcher (no ARY service back then), I loved catching them on youtube, especially the one with all celebrities from Dhoop Kinaray. She was one of the best hosts and I wish she would come back along with Ghazal.

So yeah, Morning with HUM and Marina Khan’s show win it for me, hands down. I still catch Hum’s show once in a while before going to sleep because Sanam is definitely more bearable than any other host on TV. She’s a sweet girl, just not used to her because I miss watching Ghazal.

great analysis.

nadia khan is getting old…what made her stand out 5 yrs ago is now her problem; too much over-the-topness…

farah hussain is great; her show isn’t glitz and glamour but a very interesting and some times thought provoking chat with her guest…the show when she invited asif khan was brilliant.

huge fan of ‘breakfast at dawn’ with ayesha alam on Dawn News. totally hooked to it these days, in the US it comes live at night (10 pm ET) she is really good, both witty and sensible, and the programme is just the right mix of infotainment and current affairs without becoming a big yawn! and the secret to that is very well researched, precise and short segments…not spending two hours gabbing to one guest with absolutely no direction to the interview, all boring! get with the times people (i.e talk show ppl) and get rid of the copycat gabfest formula.

Well like i said b4, i only commented on those which i have watched enuff times to form a valid opinion.

I think mahnoor is nt a bad host, she is cute n charming. Btw, dnt they have a new host now? she’s very well dressed n styled most of the time. Dn’t know her name though.

agree with you on NKS, Nadia khan does have that presence of mind which is the basic of requirement of a good host and i have not seen her getting intimidated by any guest be it indian or pakistani celeb …where she lacks is when she does not focus on the guest e.g. ABC cast came on her show and i was so much excited to see three of them and wanted to know each n everything about them but she wasted the opportunity by talking about cake her set and stupid stuff which was so much disappointing for me…she needs to focus less on herself n more on the guest…

and lol@4th suggestion …i never noticed her abs belt…i’ll do that on monday

GMP is so so so boring because of the host, she is pretty and the story ends there. She copies nadia khan in one way or the other…from distributing gifts to interviewing indian actors to different segments…and the whole dare drama was so stupid…i dont know why these guys think that audience can be made fool easily anyway i hated all drama n stuff that goes on her show…

Farah is actually different… why because… she does not do heeheeehaahaha all the time with guests and takes out different aspect of guests which is not possible on NKS or GMP …e.g i love naeem bukhari and i have not missed any of his interviews on different morning shows…and after watching farha’s interview with him …i fell in love with him again because she brought forward different side of him which rest of the morning shows host were unable to…baki i agree with you on her dressing, set and other suggestions

Pareezay you are right, Ghazal was a good host But the girl(Sana) who has taken over now is much better 1. she knows what she is talking about 2. she has given that “young feel” to the show. whereas sometimes Ghazal would ask so stupid questions that one would say…girl you should have done your research work before getting on the seat…having said that, she was very much better than many other hosts:)

Sanam…for me she is a pretty face and a good actress but not a good host at all…

and as for Marina Khan… You and I are on the same page …100%…she was spontaneous, natural and my fav …and i dont have any complaints from her and not any suggestions for her either…she was a perfect host who would cheer/freshen you up in the morning and i wish she could join back.

You know what, i do like him lots but like i said b4 i m not biased so i say what i feel. He does have quite a bit resemblance to srk nt only in terms of looks but style too. However i refuse to believe that an intelligent and confident person like him would copy any1 esp after all the flak they get for it. I think its just natural that they r quite similiar And i honestly feel that.

I have seen him say the same so many times that its just how he is, and he himself wants people 2 know him n like him for what he is and not focus on his resemblance with srk. Honestly, he is farrrr better lookng than srk so i dont even see why he wud want to be like him.

Anyway…i m glad u agreed with most of my post :slight_smile: Do chck nks on monday and let me know if u were able to figure out her ab belt :stuck_out_tongue:

I like to watch Bakhabar savera on ARY news with Maya khan. the host is very bubbly and funny compared to Sana Tariq who was hosting before her. And i really enjoy watching it especially when its celeb. interviews !

okay coming back to the topic…

NKS- thats the show I watch mostly, i like her confidence and boldness and her ability to ask tough questions…and her energy level is much higher, maybe its because of her loud voice. what she does need to work on is to stop praising her show and her set so much…it gets annoying after a while. other than that i like how the guests seem very comfortable answering her questions. i just saw her show with munni begum and that was hilarious. munni begum is one happy woman mA.

Shaista Wahidi- after that dare thing it really makes me wonder whether she is sane or not. i hate when the media tries to fool the public. they did all this drama and hype to build up their trps. shaista seems like a person who lacks confidence specially when she is interviewing indian celebs…she seems so much in awe of them. also she is the haan mein haan milanai walee type…whatever her guest say is right she just goes along with it. her segments are boring…her voice is very low pitched. her set is definitely nice and she needs to invite exciting guests on her show.

those are the only two that i have seen lol.

Morning with Hum is now hosted by that another girl not Sanam Baloch.
The new girl (used to be on geo tv news) is very annoying. I couldn’t even watch 5 minutes of her.

I haven’t seen a morning show in quite a while now, because I’m usually out of the house before they come on.. but before, I used to like watching NKS - though she could be slightly annoying, it was still entertaining.. haven’t seen it since she had a baby though so not sure whats happening recently. I only used to like watching GMP when there was an interesting guest, because I’m not a huge fan of Shaista herself.. last time I saw this was when Saif and Kareena came on the show & Shaista spent the whole time drooling over them, acting like an idiot, asking silly Q’s and feeling insecure. I’ve only seen a couple of episodes of the Farah one.. found it really dull, although Farah can be a good host sometimes. The one show I LOVE though, is Kiran & George.. those two make such a cute couple, are entertaining and can actually hold interesting convos based on a range of topics (not just movies, dramas etc) and they make the show really fun to watch! Also loved watching Marina Mornings when it used to come on, that was totally entertaining! So yeah, my favs would definitely be K&G and MM.
