I was just wondering is it normal to find ur best friend in your husband or wife? I have a ton of friends but not anyone who knows me and visa-a-versa as well as we know each other. Do any of u face similar situations?

And I'm wondering if you really can find the best friend in yr spouse or no. I mean, there are so many things which you sometime want to share with someone other than spouse, so spouse can be a friend but can he/she be the "Best" one at the same time?

yeap.. my hubby is my best friend. He knows me very well.. Apart from hubz, my family (especially my siblings) know me inside out..
i can turn to hubby for anything.. and im sure most people here are like that as well :)

I think your spouse could be a friend only or best friend. It depends on both sides behaviour with each other.
I think if your spouse is not good for you semetimes even behave like dushman or budtareen dushman laikin aap uska dil jeet saktay hain agar aap us say bohat aur bepanah pyar kartay hain aur khuloos kay saath uskay liaay achcha kartay jaatay hain uski buraion kay bawajood to aik na aik din usko Allah zaroor samajh day deta hai. Allah aap ka waqt kabhi na kabhi zaroor lata hai.
Agar aap ka koi bhi dushman agar yay samajh lay aap kay undaaz aur khuloos say kay uskay intehai dushmani kay bawajoood bhi aap us say pyar kartay hain aur uskay liaay naik neeati rakhtay hain to phir aik din jeet zaroor hoti hai.
Haan mera khiaal hai agar zara si bhi spouse main insaniaat ho to wo aap ka na sirf achcha dost balkay bohat bahtareen dost ho sakta hai.

Spouse can be a friend or even a best friend BUT he/she can not replace friends. You still need friends.
Emotionally I can say that "oh no no ...spouse can be the best friend ...he/she understands me more than anyone else...oh i tell everything to him/her....blan blan" but you still need friends. Degree of this need depends on how good friend are you with your spouse.
I think that a marriage should be based on strong friendship because that makes an excellent foundation as the marriage evolves with time. However, I agree with Decent6Chora that your husband can't replace friends. Men and women are different in their psychology and the way that they both process things. There are times when a wife feels that she needs a fellow woman to confide in because some issues are better understood by women. Similarly, husbands need bonding time with other males. So, while it's great to find an awesome friend in your spouse, it's also very healthy and necessary to maintain strong friendships outside of marriage.

The intensity level for people involved with their spouse romantically since the beginning is amazingly higher then being involved with your best friend. At first it doesn’t seem much different but take a closer look, a couple romantically involved since the beginning may have arguments and they would be of high intensity, where as being friends before calms people down and takes that intensity away. And it goes the same for love, what you experience is in romantically involved spouse is quite intense. So it comes down to what works for you?
