Unfortunately, the BF's mom wants to give me a round diamond that's hers instead and I get it set however I wnat. lol It's nice of her to do so and I'd be so ungrateful to reject it since it's such great quality--and has sentimental value--but dang itttt lol.

Ha ha why is that unfortunate?? You know round diamonds are way more expensive than princess cut etc right lol. That's cute though and will def have sentimental value!!

LOL it’s funny because whenever I’ve looked at rings I’ve always disregarded the round diamond. That was the one cut I never even considered. Yeah, I didn’t want to make a fuss even though BF said he’d tell his mom i wanted a square because it’s nice of her to do that. I’m just trying to get it set so it looks less round and more square…with a cushion maybe.

lol I'm pretty sure I'm one of the only girls in the world that doesn't like round diamonds. But they've grown on me now that I've been looking at settings. =)

I actually never really liked round diamonds until my cousin whose diamond certified gave me some general background on the round cut. I left it up to my hubby so he ended up going with the round cut but set in a way that looks square at first look. similar to the picture which makes it more obvious but in person it's not that obvious. It grew on me as well

Hi everyone, Sorry for hijacking this thread...but i am in the process of choosing a wedding ring for my wife to be.. Probably girls would be best to answer my questions...
I would like to give her a diamond ring with yellow gold,,,but most of the pictures u posted are with white gold or platinum..do girls really like this..i personally love yellow conventional gold.
I like princess cut far more than round cut or any other shape...these are quite elegant..
Is there anyway i can get her ring size measured in UK measurments as she is in Pak and i m in UK...
