sometimes i feel like desi women hide it if they are divorced because of how desi people react to it like she has the plague or they show pity like she has one foot in the grave

A mere feeling isn’t enough to be constituted for the seat of belief. Unless you expect it to fail miserably. Cant do.

Divorce on the other hand. A concept that was programmed within our minds soon after logic chose to own and enlighten us. The terminology behind the “one foot in the grave” comment I couldn’t grasp on to, but speaking about just the hiding bit. People who’ve spared a thought to read what Islam has to say about a divorced woman and truly understand the message. Wouldn’t judge or react differently.

The most I could personally do is vouch to the grave the fact that divorced ladies do end up getting married and lead a normal healthy life, exactly the same way the other crop of the same field does.
