Your Gym Workout

Calling all the gym folks

1-How much time do you spend at the gym?
2-What are the main exercise machines do you use?
3-Any special weight lifts?
4-Do you enjoying working out at the gym or home?

Re: Your Gym Workout

  1. 2 hours ... 5 days a week
  2. I have divided my exercises (weights) in 3 days. Leg, Push (chest, triceps), Pull (back biceps) ... remaining 2 days are HIIT / Circuit training. I do 45 minutes of cardio every day which is StairsMaster, TreadMill, or Cycling
  3. Nope
  4. Gym ....

Re: Your Gym Workout

1) hour and a half maybe- 4 days a week
2) The tedious treadmill, Rowing machine thingy (don't know the actual name sorry), cross trainer, bikes, weight machines for toning legs. Not all together btw, I use specific machines on specific days.
3) Not really
4) The gym. Seeing the others working out like their life depends on it makes me motivated to do well in my own workout. Plus not gonnna waste my gym membership by staying at home and working out.

Re: Your Gym Workout

1- 30 to 45 mins. 5 days in week.
2- Trade mill is used for first 15 min. It warms me up. Speed of machine is variate during 15 minutes in well defined interval.
3- There are few, based on my goals. Chest and arms. Few others for abdomen but not through weight. Each day exercise should not be same as what I did day before.
4- Gym.

Re: Your Gym Workout

Almost same routine as mine, 5 days a week for 2 hours per visit.

Rowing machine is the actual name lol for some reason, i don't do near it, used to do when i had hired a trainee.

35/45 isn't it less time? Or you get to do all the exercises you want to do?

Guess I need to start changing my routine, shouldn't be doing the same thing everyday.

My routine includes

1 hour cross trainer
20 minutes treadmill
20 minutes stepper

and some weights

Re: Your Gym Workout

The world is my Gym :snooty:

Well block around my house.

Re: Your Gym Workout

Just one block?

Re: Your Gym Workout

:(
yeah.
I cant impress you runners. I know.

Re: Your Gym Workout

45 minutes 2-3 times a week.

10-15 minutes running or cross trainer, rest weights.

I do abs 5 times a week for 10 minutes at home, once a week mix cardio at home, once a week morning run.

Re: Your Gym Workout

Thats a lot of cardio and unless you are thin and training for olympics, it may be excessive for your joints and muscles. They also need time to recover.

I used to do that few years ago and found it made me prone to injuries, since I was chubby. With more weights, less cardio, core workout and calorie restriction I have got good results.

Dunno if you saw my b4 and after pics.

Re: Your Gym Workout

As long as you are doing it almost every other day, Exercising becomes part of life.

I do slow workout, now a days just doing one hour cross trainer and some weights, stopped treadmill, stepper etc like today I burnt around 700 calories in one an a half hour on cross trainer but I was talking to my friend all this time , otherwise I would have taken less time.

I am cutting cardio and adding weights more to my workout but i cannot do all the weights like men do. And i try to take less calories, eating healthy too. I haven't seen your pics, tag my name in blog or thread wherever you posted.

Re: Your Gym Workout

i recently joined gym and i do it for 45 minutes twice a week with trainer cuz i want to gain weight which i cant seems to for no obvious reason :( i hope workout helps.

Re: Your Gym Workout

Worked out for 4 days at gym while fasting, noticing a huge difference.

Re: Your Gym Workout

Eat dairy stuff like milk, cheese, bananas etc

Re: Your Gym Workout

It's called Box, not a gym in my case.
Spend less than an hour. including commuting . .. it's still less than an hour.
We do, WODs in Crossfit.
Weights are usually assigned through WODs, you perform them against time/rounds.
Love it... been into sports for tens years now . .

Re: Your Gym Workout

Boxing and weights twice a week.

Re: Your Gym Workout

What difference? Thin like pencil :) ??

Re: Your Gym Workout

Hi, I seldom go to the gym. I only do some simple exercises at home. The last time I did was 2 weeks ago for an hour only. I usually use the thread mill and the stationary back. If i'm not mistaken these are cardio workouts. Yes, I'm enjoying to do workouts both at home and at the gym.

Re: Your Gym Workout

1) 30-40mins max. Anything over that I find excessive, useless, and if anything, detrimental.
2) No idea what the machines are called.
3) 5-7 reps of the heaviest weights. 3 sets.
4) workout at home only as a last resort. I have a chin up bar on which I'll do pull ups and chin ups. I also find 15 mins of rope skipping more strenuous and practical (for saving time) than running for an hour. I also have a set of heavier ropes for quicker cardio workouts.

These days I'm fasting for 10 hours. Start weightlifting at 9 hours and break the fast at the 10th hour. The logic behind it being that HGH peaks with starvation, as well as IGF-1, hence better gains in quicker time. Night's sleep is part of the fast, so I weightlift 3x a week, mon wed fri, in the morning around 5am before heading to work. It also keeps me pumped for the entire day.

After the workout I juice Wheatgrass, beets, ginger, and apples. Really I only need beets because they are a natural alternative to arginine supplements (nitric oxide, vasodilation) that aid in quick recovery from muscle fatigue, but beets alone taste like shyte.

Anybody else lift whIle fasting?
