Your feelings for Quaid day

I knwow many of us live abroad or most of people are born here or when the were young they came to US,canda, europe, middle east etc.And many of us are who left the country after their graduation in search of better oppurtunities.
But still whenever 14 August comes or Quaid-e-Azam’s birthday is here I feel patriotic and I feel love for my country.I feel like listening to Taranas or atleast I want to watch some PTV where they have patriotic programs on air.

So tell me whats your feelings :faizy: Do you feel patriotic too a little bit or what are your feelings, hatred for Pak situation, sad or what? miss your family in Pak enjoying 25th December vacation with them, miss PTV dramas :faizy: tello tello
I miss PTV as I don’t have it, I miss all milli naghmay because they were good and when we were in KSA we use to have tablos or progrmas in our school. It was fun

Waiting for your answers :chai:

Re: Your feelings for Quaid day

so pak matters for 2 days only. for rest of the year that nation can go to hell for all we care.

Being away from Pakistan I miss such occasions. But Patriotism / Love for Pakistan is not occasional for me.

I miss Pakistan. I feel Sad about Pakistan’s Situation. Yahan Multi natioal environment main rehtay ho’aiy Pakistniat ka ihsas kai gunah barh gia hay.

Yaqeenan yeh woh Pakistan nahin hay jo Qaid nain socha hoga. Laikin iss baat ka yaqeen hay k Insha Allah aik din Pakistan bhi Khush’hal hoga. Apnain Naam ki tarah.

Insha Allah

**I LUV PAKISTAN **

TV shows / Dramay Aksaryat k jazbat ki akasi nahin kertay. mera nahin khayal k Pakistan main rehnain walay Pakistanion mian Jazba-e-Azadi ya Jazba-e-Hurriyat ki kami hay. Yeh keh saktay hain k jin halat say woh guzar rahay hain, un halat nain aisay jazbat k izhar k mawaqay kuch kam ker di’aiy hain. Insha Allah agar Halaat Achay nahin rahay tau yeh buray halaat bhi nahin rahain gay

To be honest, I never felt anything special regarding Pakistan on 25th of December. Its just the DOB of Jinnah and nothing more. Don’t mean to sound disrespectful but instead now I feel disappointed. Disappointed at what we have become as a nation. Jinnah struggled hard to get a separate nation for Muslims and alhamdullilah 60 yrs ago muslims did get it. But unfortunately, today its nothing close to what Jinnah and Allama Iqbal once had visioned.

It feels stupid to celebrate 23rd March/14th August/6th September and now 25th December only because we haven’t done much for the country itself. I can’t feel patriotic when I see how the so-called Leaders are taking care of Pakistan. I dont feel patriotic when I see how people are dying left and right in bomb blasts and yet our President/Prime minister aint doing anything about it. I dont feel patriotic when I constantly read and see racism among different Provinces. I dont feel patriotic when I don’t see Pakistan where it should have been today, instead we are still struggling as if it only has been few yrs since Pakistan came into being. I don’t feel patriotic when I hardly see the actual culture of Pakistan. New wana-be westerns is not what Pakistan suppose to be.

All those songs and taranas doesn’t click anymore. I can’t feel excited for one day when I know next day in the news i’ll be hearing about more deaths. Im sorry but I really don’t have anything nice to add here. =)

Re: Your feelings for Quaid day

No doubt Pakistan is going through a very rough patch, but that does not make me indifferent, quite the opposite. Just like you do not abandon your family in the hour of need, turning away from Pakistan at this point will be equally crucial. I do not feel patriotic on a given day more, but on days like this it definitely makes me stop and think.

Being away from Pakistan, how can I express the pride that I feel for it? No matter where we are, by being honest, hardworking and law abiding citizens we show the world the real face of a Pakistani. Pakistan has given me a leg up to where I am and what I am, it has given me my roots, my identity. No matter where I live now, that is always home for me, to truly belong to the soil is a gift. I will never take for granted the gift that Allah bestowed on us by making us all live, breathe n flourish in a free land. I will never take our independence for granted. May Allah keep our land and its independence safe. Ameen.

Re: Your feelings for Quaid day

What is the big deal about the birthday of Jinnah?

Re: Your feelings for Quaid day

UmeZ

I am glad you asked that. Back in August when we were working on 14th august projects for GS, I went through a lot of patriotic material/songs and it took me back to my childhood days. All those memories of the songs being played on Tv were awakened. Memories from the early school years that I spent in Pakistan when specials events would be arranged.

On occasions like these whether it's Indepndence, Iqbal or Qaid-e-Azam day I get the realization of being a lot MORE patriotic than I actually think of myself.

Re: Your feelings for Quaid day

My feelings are that the stature of the leader that Quaid-e-Azam had, he did not get the right Nation. Or May be he did in the beginning, but the generations that came afterwards threw everything down the drain.

What the Nation and its leaders has done, it is unfair to attribute all that to Quaid.

May be it's the time (yet again as usual) to wake up....

PS: and by the way, if you talk about nation, quaid, iqbal, pakistan rest of the year, you can be called a fanatic or someone living in utopia.... on the other hand, very same people who call you all such, always throw a tantrum if you talk about all of it during such occassions...

When are we going to throw the mask of hypocrisy from our faces?.... something to reflect upon and look inside ourselves.

Re: Your feelings for Quaid day

Quaid-e-Azam ... such a charismatic leader!

Even though he didn't have command on Urdu - let alone other regional languages - millions of people listened and followed him.

I wish he had lived a few more years to guide our nation.
We love our leaders - both Quaid-e-Azam and Sha'ir-e-Mashriq and get inspiration from them.

At home we always celebrated their anniversaries with Josh-O-Kharosh.

PS. I don't want to know how Quaid or Iqbal lived their private lives, none of us is perfect!

Re: Your feelings for Quaid day

Drepressing…it is depressing to see the state of people in general, it is depressing to see when people ask what is the big deal deal about Quaid’s birthday, it is depressing to see people posting poetry in rememberance of Benazir Bhutto on Quaid day but nothing to pay tribute to Quaid…it is depressing to see that we have lost the essence of his message.

I hope and pray for Pakistan and its people. May Allah help them understand the message of our founding fathers, bless Pakistan with peace and prosperity. Ameen

Sorry, I am sure this wasn’t the answer you were quite looking :bummer:

Re: Your feelings for Quaid day

I am sorry Qauid . I could do nothing in my life for your Pakistan,I have never read about a person greater than you exept those who were directly guided by God.

Go Pakistan!

Re: Your feelings for Quaid day

^ where?

ditto! It’s so much more depressing to witness this callous and negative attitude than the halaat itself. I guess either u feel a kinship or you don’t, rest are excuses!

Re: Your feelings for Quaid day

I adore my homeland Pakistan all the time, irrespective of whichever the day or date of the year/month/week
I have the utmost respect for the great Quaid who founded it
Qatra qatra samundar banta hey, jo Pakistani jahan bhee hay, apni limits key hisab sey jitni baqi Pakistanion ki madad ker sakta hey aur apni sohni dharti ki, wohi theek hey
May ALLAH help our beloved country through difficult times like these INSHA ALLAH Ameen

Re: Your feelings for Quaid day

Thankful,May Allah s.w.t shower him with blessingz, Go Pakistan!! :jhanda:

Yeah, I definitely wasn’t looking for this answer. :halo:

:hmmm: It’s even *more *depressing when you ask a question genuinely and instead of educating others, people say “you don’t know, it’s so depressing.”

And people were calling religious people annoying - patriotic people must be close too then. :halo:

p.s. Thanks for the dua. I really do hope Allah helps me “understand the message of our founding fathers” Ameen. Now let’s see if you can take that first step in helping people understand the message!

I am sorry, he probably can’t hear you. But aside from that, I really didn’t know Pakistan was in his possession. :hmmm:

I am learning a lot today. :sadiyah:

Wow, so aside from Allah’s (swt) prophets and messengers, Jinnah is second in line for being the greatest person - that you have read about? So I am guessing you only read religious material and pakistani political books. Chalo, khair, at least tum perhtay to ho. :lifey:

I guess either you get it or you don’t, rest are idiocies.

Pakistan, the Land of the Pure. It hurts me as well when I see the clash between what Pakistan is versus what it is *should *be.

Don’t know how this feeling connects with the birthday of Jinnah though.

True, we should educate people, so there you go, incase you or anyone doesn’t know what’s the big deal then read the article below… who he was, what he did…hope this helps :cheegum:

Quaid-i-Azam Mohammad Ali Jinnah

Jinnah: Pakistan’s founding father

Quaid-e-Azam M A Jinnah
