Same here. magar Pakistani Tvs bhi ab nange buche ho gie hain is liey diakhne ka maza nahi raha. Yar Apni saqafat tu dikhao.

Being away from Pakistan I miss such occasions. But Patriotism / Love for Pakistan is not occasional for me.

I miss Pakistan. I feel Sad about Pakistan’s Situation. Yahan Multi natioal environment main rehtay ho’aiy Pakistniat ka ihsas kai gunah barh gia hay.

Yaqeenan yeh woh Pakistan nahin hay jo Qaid nain socha hoga. Laikin iss baat ka yaqeen hay k Insha Allah aik din Pakistan bhi Khush’hal hoga. Apnain Naam ki tarah.

To be honest, I never felt anything special regarding Pakistan on 25th of December. Its just the DOB of Jinnah and nothing more. Don’t mean to sound disrespectful but instead now I feel disappointed. Disappointed at what we have become as a nation. Jinnah struggled hard to get a separate nation for Muslims and alhamdullilah 60 yrs ago muslims did get it. But unfortunately, today its nothing close to what Jinnah and Allama Iqbal once had visioned.

It feels stupid to celebrate 23rd March/14th August/6th September and now 25th December only because we haven’t done much for the country itself. I can’t feel patriotic when I see how the so-called Leaders are taking care of Pakistan. I dont feel patriotic when I see how people are dying left and right in bomb blasts and yet our President/Prime minister aint doing anything about it. I dont feel patriotic when I constantly read and see racism among different Provinces. I dont feel patriotic when I don’t see Pakistan where it should have been today, instead we are still struggling as if it only has been few yrs since Pakistan came into being. I don’t feel patriotic when I hardly see the actual culture of Pakistan. New wana-be westerns is not what Pakistan suppose to be.

All those songs and taranas doesn’t click anymore. I can’t feel excited for one day when I know next day in the news i’ll be hearing about more deaths. Im sorry but I really don’t have anything nice to add here. =)

Lots of people feel the same way but at least what you can do is pray for your country.

No doubt Pakistan is going through a very rough patch, but that does not make me indifferent, quite the opposite. Just like you do not abandon your family in the hour of need, turning away from Pakistan at this point will be equally crucial. I do not feel patriotic on a given day more, but on days like this it definitely makes me stop and think.

Being away from Pakistan, how can I express the pride that I feel for it? No matter where we are, by being honest, hardworking and law abiding citizens we show the world the real face of a Pakistani. Pakistan has given me a leg up to where I am and what I am, it has given me my roots, my identity. No matter where I live now, that is always home for me, to truly belong to the soil is a gift. I will never take for granted the gift that Allah bestowed on us by making us all live, breathe n flourish in a free land. I will never take our independence for granted. May Allah keep our land and its independence safe. Ameen.

I knwow many of us live abroad or most of people are born here or when the were young they came to US,canda,europe,middle east etc.And many of us are who left the country after their graduation in search of better oppurtunities.
