Your favourite beauty tips...

welll since it was mainly females please but no one said entirely females.

How about speading charcoal dust all over your faces, that looks saada and saves alot of time.

Kingshah, as the cliche goes, if you can’t take the heat, stay out of the kitchen.

haha! Jasoos just reading ur replies are making me ROTF!!! Nice to have u back in here. :)

CatWoman, I glad it worked :)

Adios!
DB:)

Ok for shiny hair the best is to rinse your hair with vinegar
you are going to notice the difference at once
Personally i am not a big fan of all those antifriz, shine and all that stuff cause you need heat for them to work
so basically one is actually doing more damage to hair then any good

A shampoo and a conditioner works fine
I have used stuff from BodyShop to Matrix, Redken and Paul M
but all of them are just similar to the $3.99 VO5 from the grocery store

Mummy has a huge collection of all kinds of makeup ..this works with that better or that works with this better
but i noticed that Products from companies such as Aveda, Aqua Lancome and Bourjois (sp?) leave a very heavy feeling to the face
While teen products from companies that are for teens such as Maybelline are superb for the teen skin and faces

Hi guys,

Can anyone give me tips on how to keep curly hair in really good condition, e.g applying a wax or sommat to it without losing the volume of the curls?? Cuz my hair is naturally curly and if I put on a oil or sommat the volume decreases.

Anyone??? :(

Mariah, for curly hair, I think the best thing to do is to let it dry naturally and then apply mousse. My hair isn't very curly coz I straighten it but that's what my sister used to do. Mousse gave it bounce and volume.

Thanks cat woman. i do that but it tends to look dry...well maybe i am being too fussy!!!!

Mariah
If your hair look Dry
then there is a product called 'Shine' by Redken
its a small bottle for bout $13
after washing and drying and all that to add some shine just rub some of it in your hair and your hair will shine wonders

Thanks Anchal, I`ll try it.

Okay back to beauty tips, my favourite;) which i tell everyone, is to...........SMILE:)

Why wear make up at all? To look good and parade for all that see! Oh well, shows what hypocrites females are for bashing pageants and then try and make themselves look more beautiful. Isnt that haraam or whatever that means? What is haraam btw? I got accused of it a lot! Tres contradications. Best beauty tip is be nice to beautiful people! Like me.

Now this isn't supposed to be "The Vain People's Guide to Being Beautiful" coz it isn't all about make-up! But I reckon keeping yourself looking good and especially feeling good, is very important! I know I feel a lot more confident and self-assured if I'm happy with the way I look. It isn't always fun coz it does require a certain amount of time and effort!

So, let's get back to the topic shall we!

Oh, someone please tell me how do you get rid of freckles, esp. on the nose. Anchal, I'm sure you have an answer to this.

Cat woman,

I think you can get this cream called "fade" or sommat like that, and your supposed to use it for a few weeks and the freckles gradually disappear.

catwoman depends
If you want them to disappear disappear then a trip to a good skin specialist would be helpful
Ok just to clear out the myth these skin specialists are really Specialists cause they have creams for 'Everything'

I am not sure bout the fadeaway creams
mummy always said to have it checked out with a good Skin Specialist first before using any

But if you want to umm hide them temporarily like under the makeup then try using Maybelline Express Three in One Makueup stick
Usually to acheive the best result first apply it like you would any other foundation then stand infront of good light and with your finger dab it on the freckles ...dont rub it in just dab it ....
It is a very good concealer and a makeup in one
I wouldnt say bout its third function 'powder' cause usually us 'desis' arent that much of a shine fans
so just follow it with a good face powder and the freckles are good as gone for a temporary basis

Ok here is another tip
When painting nails sometimes the polish gets around the skin or the cuticle and it doesnt look neat
so take an orange stick or if you dont have one try a tooth pick wrap a small amount of cotton on the pointed end dip it in the nail polish remover and clean the unwanted polish without messing bout the one on your nails

Ok did you all know that lemons are wonderful for the skin
Lemon does wonders to Oily skin
so next time when you make lemonade dont throw out the lemons
just massage your face with them

i remember my brother once found out that lemons actually help control the oil and he used to hide the lemons int he fridge and every night he would be found standing infront of the mirror with lemon all over his face

Girllllllls

This is an 'old' thread, very interesting to read it again.
More tips?

PS) Where's Kohal, I miss her posts :(

Here are some beauty tips I can offer you ladies:

Drink plenty of water to cleanse your skin and keep it looking healthy

Do not bleach small hairs on face…waxing and tweezing are fine

Use almond-based facial cleansers or face masks…Lancome makes a great cleanser/mask como

Always keep eyebrows well manicured by waxing/trimming weekly to maintain shape and cleanliness

Always keep eyebrows one shade darker than haircolor

Always always always go back for haircolor touch-ups AS SOON AS you see the roots coming out…normally this is once a month

If you have dark eyes, don’t load on both liquid eyeliner for upper lids AND eyeliner for below the eye…choose one area and work with it

Don’t load on too much makeup for day events but it’s ok to wear darker yet natural-looking makeup for night events

:pretty:

what do u do for skin to ‘glow’??
and if ure necks slightly darker than ure face??
great tips :k:

About darker neck. Dip half cut lemon in milk and then scrub it onto your neck. Do it for about 15 min and then go take a bath or clean up. do this twice a week and I asure you, you will see positive change.
