Your Favirote Sportsman

Who is your favirote sportsman/athlete?
Doesn’t necessarily have to be a pakistani or a cricketer, anything.
He doesn’t have to be the best sportsman ever but he is someone who you admire because of his sportsmanship and his athletism.
Give your reason also why you like that person.

My fav sports figure has to be Imran Khan.
He had a charismatic personality, and showed great leadership for Pak cricket. He was atheletic. Batsmen feared him and ofcouse he brought glory to Pakistan

I can still hear the crowds at Qaddafi stadium roaring as he ran to the wickets to bowl to Amarnath or Srikanth etc

. Amazing to see his dedication to sport.

Of all the cricket I have seen, I would say it's Waqar Younis. He's the best captain, bowler and the team usually wins under his captaincy! He's not a jealous person like Wasim and is more mature. Wasim didn't let him play but Waqar isn't doing that to Wasim. Wasim ruined his career but Waqar still lets him play. He's got a big heart.

For me it has to be the greatest of them all --- Mohammed Ali.

Mine is Sultan Of Squash Jahangir Khan

I picked Muhammad Ali, the guy was simply the best at anything, inspiration to everyone, eventhough I wasn't alive during his golden days, watching his old matches like vs Foreman and vs Frazier were simply electrifying.

Mine is Shahid Afridi.

Mine is Mohanty. No, Prasad! No, maybe Kuruvilla.

Ooh, ooh so many options but have to pick one. In retrospect, I'll go with Mohanty.

Umair / Ehsan;

I have always wondered - could Muhammed Ali have beaten today's Tyson and Lewis in the ring ?

Very different styles. Ali, I do not think, was as bulky as these other 2 but he had great speed.

What do u think ?

What’s special about Leander Paes - That he’s going out with chubby Mahima Chowdry ?

And what about match-losing Tendulkar ? He will be hurt by yr indian choice.

Bechara.

Ali was a legend. Although he had to face a 3.5 year ban in his prime, he was too good for any other boxer in that time. He was the dancing master and yet the inventor of the rope-a-dope. Yes, he might have been the louiville loudmouth, but he never harassed or abused his opponents like Tyson. His rivalry with Frazier was limited to sports and they were also good friends.

His best match, against Cleveland Williams in Houstan Texas... I just saw that today!

Muhammad Ali would no doubt outclass Tyson and Lewis, while both of these guys relied on strength, Ali went for speed and knocked out boxers much bigger than him.
Eventhough Tyson at his prime, in the early 90s might have been a threat to Ali because he had a deadly combination of strength and speed at the same time.
Lewis has a simple strategy against his opponnents who are usually smaller than him, I would doubt if Lewis can keep his title if someone of his size challenges him.
