Here are few things that I do in my house to save

• Set thermostat schedule to 2-3 degree lower from 9pm-6am. Everyone is in night cloths and under comforters so we do not need that extra 2-3 degrees
• Set dishwasher and laundry to run in off-peak hours
• Replace bulbs with Energy savers
• Selected gas stove/oven
• Selected gas water heater
• In Canada, gas fireplace saved us a lot on heating bill

My husband has the thermostat on 65 sometimes during the night…it drives me bananas but it does help when it comes to bills.
