Everyone has questions on hair removal and I think it’s high time we have a “give your best hair removal tip” thread…
I have a hugeeeeeeeeee problem with in-growns, I don’t know why they occur or how to prevent them from re-occuring…any advice?!

Best tip for the hair removal has to be getting it all lasered off.
With regards to the ingrown hairs, there is a fantastic product called Tendskin that will sort it out and I think you can make it yourself from ingredients you can get at any pharmacy. I'll have to get back to you with more info on that though.
Some of my friends have a huge issue with in-grown hair, especially on the face. They go for periodic facials to solve this problem.
Umm.. this may sound really naive of me, but what exactly is an ingrown hair and how would you solve, say, a single ingrown hair, and a number of ingrown hairs?
^I suppose if it’s a single in-grown hair, you can simply pluck it out.

I go to the barbar for hair removal on my head :)
Depends on where the hairs are ingrown too, if they are on your arms or legs then you can get rid of them by having a major exfoliating session.
Still looking for that Tendskin recipe Hinna.
Found it. Here's the recipe for Tendskin, basically its prevents and 'draws out' any ingrown hairs. Its good for shaving rash too.
Tendskin
Hope it helps.
dumb question-but what is witch hazel? someone reccommeded it to me once, but i couldn't find it or figure it out...

So how do you apply it???
Just swipe a cotton wool pad soaked with the liquid over your legs or wherever after you've shaved.
Witch hazel is an astringent. It is used for treating minor cuts/irritations. It's contains leaf extracts and alcohol.
There are so many ways of removing hair:
Threading, Waxing, Laser Treatment, Chemical Treatment-Nair, Shaving, Sugaring etc etc.
I'd love to see how the gupshup girls rate these ways of removing hair as well as writing some comments on how they rated the hair removal method.
714, witch hazel isn't that hard to get hold of but if you have any problems then its best to just ask your pharmacist to order you some. It's usually cheaper that way because its a non generic brand.
Thanks for the recipe shahreen!!!Is it only used after a shave or repeatedly?
I love threading for facial hair
Would love to wax my legs but my husband hates the waiting game I go through to let hte hair grow out long enough for me to get it waxed.
I shave it but get ingrowns and razor burn despite buying the new VEnus shaver and trying everyting.
I was told by a lady who I get waxed by that about 3-4 days after waxing make sure you exfoliate a TON every time you shower for a week. That will make sure that dead skin cells on your leggs come off rather than block the hair growth in and cause ingrowns.
Oh and i started using jergan's hair growth slower lotion..that stuff really works!

IT does???!?!? How long have you been using it???? And how often do you use it?
use it daily...
I started using it for about 1-2 month before the shadi and was amazed at how long my waxing lasted after the shadi....of course I fell off the wagon but it took about a month or two to go back to the previous level and now i'm doing it again.
