i remember reading bano qudsia’s quote somewhere which says that such relationships tend to work more than other age-gap relationships. She said that younger guys tend to give more value to their older partner as compared to younger ones. She came up with different reasons which i forgot.
I do not know if this thing is right or wrong but personally i find this idea very attractive…

do not know about milfs or cougars… what i am saying here is… if guys can marry younger girls… then why can’t older women marry younger guys ( which is said to have better success rate compared to the other age-gap marriages as claimed by a woman writer ).
Recently Pakistani actress Yusra rizvi at 34 got married to a guy who is just 24… So yeah we do have some examples.

Younger women want guys that are successful and good looking, if he’s not good looking, at least he’s successful and his able to provide for her every whims… Why do you think potential earnings STEM Fields are held in so high regard…its cause of potential to provide… and the STATUS it brings.
Guys on the other hand are attracted to beauty (first and foremost)..secondly comes “love”…the idealistic version of love..(motherly love)..where a women will love you for who you truly are..regardless of what you’ve done for her. This is where the rubber hits the pavement…no women will love you that way…their is an expectation that you are bringing something to the table. For an older women…she might have the ability to provide..(which you as a younger guy don’t) but her looks are about to go (around 40ish)…especially if she doesn’t take care of her self…and to her, as a younger guy you are providing her companionship and loyalty…where in her age..it’ll be hard for her to find a guy older than her to marry her.
Their are a few outliers…and islamically you can get married to an older women…but theirs a reason it doesn’t happen more frequently.

A friend of mine told me about another term along these same lines. So you have cougars and then apparently there are also “pumas”; the difference between the two being age related. Cougars are 40 and above and Puma’s are 39 and below. So there ya go!

Last year I had started listening to the seerah of the Prophet SAWS by Yasir Qadhi. Supposedly the more authentic opinion is that Khadijah RA was only a few older than him (like 3-5 years). And for some Desi guys and their family, even that is a no-go.

actually older partner for son is something that majority of desi parents never approve of…and that is understandable given the fact that they want “better stuff” for their son…but why on earth they think only younger girls have better things to offer…!!! Personally i would not mind marrying someone who is older to me.
I am not saying you should marry someone who is 15 or 20 years older to you… What i am saying here is… “age” should not be a factor here.. if you like someone…you like someone… whether she is 1 year older or 5 years older than you.
i never said i am not aware of “milf, cougar” terms… these terms represent "looks and appearance"of women and my argument was based on “logic” and not on “looks”… And that takes out the whole milfs phenomena out of discussion.
