*Young* girls wearing burqas

Re: Young girls wearing burqas

I have seen many young girls who wear burqas, and they wear it out of their own interest only, & not that they are forced to do so.

Re: Young girls wearing burqas

Speaking of niqabis, there's this girl on my FB who recently posted a picture of her and her husband (I guess she got married recently). Someone commented that May you two always stay smiling or something like that...

She was wearing a niqab

*no disrespect intended, I thought it was a cute comment :D

Re: Young girls wearing burqas

I agree with you here.

Girls should not be forced to wear a naqab but my daughters wear a loose headscarf to school and everywhere they go with me, they were not forced to do so, it was just something they saw me doing and decided to follow suit. My eldest was 12 (she's nearly 13 now) when she started wearing it of her own accord. I would be a bit miffed if she suddenly decided to stop wearing it but so far, even in the heatwave, she has still worn it.

Re: Young girls wearing burqas

why do people make such a big iusse of burqa since couple of days? Everytime I log in, I read Burqa, Burqa, Burqa.

As we have a cristall clear Hadith stating the Prophet Muhammad (saw) that Burqa is Fardh, then it is fardh. If a woman accepts it or not is up to her. Period.

Re: Young girls wearing burqas

burqa is not a sign of oppression. and girls dont even think about oppression things when they are young :bummer:

Re: Young girls wearing burqas

what a load of bs.

they do it because their parents tell them its the right thing to do.. and being innocent kids they fall for it.. its brainwashing.. its child abuse.

Re: Young girls wearing burqas

It's not "their"relgion. It's your religion that you force down their throat. Kids are brainwashed about their parents religion being the RIGHT one.

I am not targetting Islam only. All religious people are guilty of child abuse IMO the way they force their kids (directly or indirectly) into believing and following the religion that they follow themselves.

Re: Young girls wearing burqas

Well I've known some who've asked to wear it because they've seen their mothers/aunts etc. do it, so they wanted to try it too. One day my niece tried it on like that and came to show me.

Re: Young girls wearing burqas

thats just a child curiousity to something she sees around her everyday..

Re: Young girls wearing burqas

Then please stop "forcing" your child to go to school, or teach them not to lie, steal or become sharaabee . Stop acting like everyone who is born has their own laws and rules. Even if a child was put into a cage with animals, he is going to behave like an animal as well. It's not called brainwashing, it's call teaching what you believe it true. What is Islam for us? it's a religion that guides our life, to better our life to make us successfull in this world and in the here-after. Not just Islam, any religion, it teaches you good and forbids from evil.

Child abuse my foot!

Re: Young girls wearing burqas

Unless you have a kid and leave him/her out to live in the wild, you are brainwashing him/her one way or another, religion or no religion. Simple.

Re: Young girls wearing burqas

Islam will be the my children's religion as well.

And that's just to show that sometimes they do it out of their own will. Some of them see their mothers doing, they try it and continue doing it out of their own will.

Re: Young girls wearing burqas

teach your kids facts and general morality... not fairy tales....

Re: Young girls wearing burqas

Exactly. That's why I'll teach my children Islam, inshAllah.

Re: Young girls wearing burqas

hard to have a logical conversation with deluded religious folks sometime :)

teaching them islam? or forcing them? pressurizing them?

is just using the capital A in allah is supposed to fetch you extra brownie points :D

Re: Young girls wearing burqas

Logical? When you are going on about people bringing up their kids according to their religion child abuse. :rotfl:

Re: Young girls wearing burqas

teaching them fairytales to be true and obsess over an imaginary controller of the universe = child abuse
