Ahh... Communication is a two way street. Talking less and explaining less are two different things. A few words can explain a lot and a verbose message may not convey anything. Not always, but mostly, when the others assume something different from what we wanted to convey there is a problem with our communication. Now it may also mean that we have failed to identify how to communicate with the other party.

On the other hand, I think people make conclusions on not how little you say but on what you say. Off course, what people conclude is limited to what experiences they have in their lives. It also depends on the complexity of their imagination.
