There was this serial raplist in DHA (the infamous white-corolla case) not too long ago, why do we not push our government to provide security to its citizens? Its really sad that we have to look at the security situation and sorta criticize the victim, but not much being sad about yet another failure of government. We need to stop the free fall of the society pretty soon otherwise we will join ranks of Somalia and Afghanistan (armed gangs roaming around cities and ruling the areas).
awesome fist thing is those girl went to party i called these parties something esle but lets leave behing there they had a fight with those *******s and they took so called revenge now in a party i dont she would have been simply sitting and next thing womens features always attract men man people do lower there gaze butt there are always hungry people out there so if you think if you are going to dance in front of them are they are not going to get attracted then you are denying reality and some men dont have control on them animals in shape of man so if you think by inviting trouble you are going flowers instead than you need to cosult a medical docto
^ "as you sow so shall you reap"applies to everyone. For now only for the victim, and soon inshaAllah for the criminals (animals), in this life and in hereafter.
Rape is if not the most then one of the most oldest and hated crime in history. I simply can not understand the mentality of such people committing such horrendous crime. Let alone the Pakistani society where pre-marriage sex is still largely considered taboo, in western societies where you can most likely hire a prostitute for 20 bucks or lure some girl into free sex, people still commit these crimes.
Last night I was reading report in jang about abduction, rape and murder of a 4 years old girl. I keep on wondering what kind of animal could do that.
unless people are caught and punished promptly, these crimes will keep on happening.
Why does it matter what the hell she did for a living or what hour she was out at? She was violated. Would it be different if she was out calling for help if someone was dying in her house? Would we feel more sympathy towards her? She was raped, and so many people are implying that she deserved it because she was at a party/was a dancer/she was out late? This is exactly why our nation is in state that it’s in, why we can’t seem to progress because instread of condemning the criminal, we point fingers at the victim. :k:
Saadia and others pointed out towards the fact. No one is showing less sympathy towards girl. No one is saying that she deserved it because she was travelling alone at night. She was violated and traitors should be brought to justice there is no 2nd opinion about that but u know what police investigator in USA said to me when my car was stolen (in Cary, NC with very low crime rate - one of the best place to live in USA) “sir, you can not leave the engine running and not be in it. Thats an invitation to come and take the car” (I started to engine to warm the car up in December chill before bringing my 1 year old into the car).
Should I be all upset that he is not condemning the criminals and pointing fingers towards me? NO. He was just pointing towards the fact and asking me to be more careful.
She shouldn't haven't been taking a stroll at that hour, but she wasn't alone either. People leave places at whatever time for whichever reasons, it does not mean, come..rape me. Having your car stolen, and being raped. Both are violoations, but you can't really compare the two.
It is quite possible that she had taken all her precautionary measures to avoid this but unfortunately it was not enough.. I wish she had recited Ayat ul Kursi before leaving her house. Being Muslim we believe no one can harm you if you recite Ayat ul Kursi for protection. And I don't know how a woman in Pak can miss reciting it, considering their insecurity at night, that too alone.

She was at the wrong place at the wrong time. As you said it does not matter what she does for living but she was a dance girl. invited to a dance party and finally raped by bunch of jackasses who followed her from that party. It is still not her fault but if I jump into keechar, I cannot always blame keechar when my clothes get dirty.
Pakistanis blame their leaders for being jacka**es, this thread is evidence of the fact that the people are not far behind. Indeed the state of the leadership is indicative of the people themselves.
If it weren't THAT girl, it could have been anyone, at the "wrong place, at the wrong time." It could have been someone trying to get emergency medication, going to the hospital or going to the airport. Rapists usually do NOT pre-screen their victims to see what standards of morals they adhere to and usually do not care for character judgement. They are criminals intent on committing a crime, a violation which is absolutely unjustified even if the victim is a whore because it is non-consensual. This "she got what she deserved" attitude is even more an outrage than the crime itself.

you are not getting the point. All I am saying that good citizienship means you be aware of what you are doing and where are you. you could get yourself into trouble and it may still not be your fault and a major part of our safety/security is our responsibilty.
Goodin what I am saying is that if you think by doing haram thing and nothing will happen to you than forget I am not saying that Rape gets justifies with not wearing Hijab butt if you want to room around in nights go i Bars and Dance Parties want to live the vulgar lifestyle than also gett ready for the worse consequences than why cry butt in any Rapists should be putt to death Publically thats the rule of Islam
Saadia our nation Promblem is that we think that we can only progress by taking our clothes off we actually have become mental slaves of west this is what exactlly ALLAMA IQBAL was worried about he even in his poems wrote that you can make same amount of progress by keeping beard and wearing Hijab as west did they didnt progressed by getting naked butt buy doing Research in Science Fields and Research can be done in Hijab and Beard
I mean every word of it. It was night time right and we know what kind of creatures roam around that time. Its like I walk into a cage of lion and complain that I am bitten or even killed. You have to take care of your safety, not expect that you will not be raped or robbed. I tell you I live in a peaceful area, my friend was telling me of an incident where a gori was robbed after she got out of a taxi during night before her building. My friend did not say, oh why did the person robbed her BAD BAD ... but she was blaming the gori for being alone there at night.
Of course I have sympathy for them and they deserve justice .. but its their fault too being there, where they were easily reached.

I am glad there are people like you out there, just a little hope.
Its really not about going out at night, alone or being at any event. Fact of the matter is rape has become increasingly common in Pakistan and people get away with it. The victim at the same time cannot open her voice due to the rapist having high profile or having some sort of strong backing. Since, Mukhtar Mai, people of Pakistan thought that their will be a dramatic change in the way law is in regards to this matter and most importantly people’s mind set will change, but alas, the reality is grim. The saddest part is that the educated community is not making any sense or is sounding coherrent on this issue.
