Young at heart ..

Lets face it , age does matter :hinna:

I often alook around me and feel we are not living to our potential … Some people are so full of youth at heart , even age doesnt change anything for them .. they continue to remain cheery and enjoy the goodness of life …

My question is should we start dressing more maturely when we get into our thirties and stop wearing short shirts and trousers and all the experiments ?:konfused:

Should we start wearing the colours that society thinks is best for our age?

Should we start talking and thinking alot maturer , knowing that people will laugh at you if you enjoy a carefree moment …

Should we become more aware of the age as we progress in life :hmmm:

Re: Young at heart ..

A little carefree attitude while keeping the dignity that your age demands is an art that not many people are aware of.

Re: Young at heart ..

a lil bit moderation in everything suits all ages, however a lil fun does never hurt :D

Re: Young at heart ..

I'll be wearing hot pink til i'm 60, and I'll laugh at things I find funny.

Re: Young at heart ..

who likes teenage fashion any way? except the teenagers of course. lol

Re: Young at heart ..

Thirties?????

Seriously?

thats the spirit sara .... i don't think i'll be able to control my laughter either ... hot pink i'll pass on thou

Re: Young at heart ..

just dont be those aunties who try to fit-in with the teens and act like theyre a teen. staying young at heart is different.

Re: Young at heart ..

30 is old!!! i didnt know that

30 is old…if it is after 40! :chai:

Re: Young at heart ..

Age is no real measure for attitude.

Some attitude change happens even at early age depending on life situation in general.

Re: Young at heart ..

if im an aunty, by these so called standards, i certainly dont dress like it.

I thought an aunty would be like maybe 40+? i dunno

and hey, long shirts look good on young ones too.. they're sooo in at the moment. I love em.

Re: Young at heart ..

:hinna: ok guys , some of you aint making me very happy :asa: …I think I will follow Sara’s path and wear hot red and laugh until i am 60 and above :barbie:

well 30 may not be as old , ask a 40 year old and even they feel , wow life’s gone so fast , but for them 40 aint much of an age either … its just natural … i guess .. when i was 20 i used to class 30 as old ! now i am 30 and i dont dare class it that ..

The pressure comes from people around you … you wanna get dressed, live a happy , fulfilling life , doesnt mean you are trying to be a teenager again .. but some people are just carefree and feel comfy around any age of people …

I, for one dont appreciate people and society putting pressure on individuals any age , to dress according to their age … here in England old ladies wear red .. and look awesome , so full of life … in pakistan every freaking women who is 35 and above seems to start wearing greys and lighter colors :smack: I feel so dull being around them ..

Maybe i am just the wierd one

Re: Young at heart ..

Don't say that.. I am 30..

I am weird as I don't look 30 but compared to Brit girls I am mature for my age, maybe the conservative nature makes people think I am mature...

I do feel young though, Don't care what I wear, hoodies.. jeans.. Hair in a pony

What is with all this maturity malarkey anyway

Why can't we act like we feel...

Re: Young at heart ..

It doesn't take a lot of sense to act your own age CB. There is absolutely nothing wrong with enjoying your life, wearing what you like, acting the way you want. Just that with age one should know where to stop, and I think pretty much everybody has that sense.

Re: Young at heart ..

I think there's nothing wrong with wearing hot pink or red as long as it's an elegant dress and you don't dress like a chav....even chavs shouldn't dress like chavs..lol

Re: Young at heart ..

So here’s an example , tell me if its right or wrong …

A desi woman aged 37 going out to a family dinner , wears a red anarkali dress with lots of shining kaam done on it … and gold set and bangles … Is she acting under her age?

A woman whose 38 , is going out with friends and decides to streak her hair a different colour, so she does the front few streaks in pink, the rest in bronze … is she acting wrong?

opinions please :hmmm:

Re: Young at heart ..

I am feeling old, but i havent started pushing 30 yet. That said i have lived to see enough of this wicked world to distinguish things others gather in thier 50's.

At heart i am still a child, but i really look foward to being a tutor to others, nothing gives me more pleasure in life than to be able to look forward. I have led a terrible existence and dare not look back, forward is the way for me. The future is bright and it should need me to be young at heart.

Besides my role models started out thier legendary careers at 50, and one of my inpiring people actually led others through difficuilt times, partition, war and re-construction.... and did all that being over 70years of age.

Re: Young at heart ..

Re: Young at heart ..

lol do *whatever *you want, Life is *too *short to have these lil problems.
My aunty is 40 odd and still does her hair, wears *combats, jeans, skirts, still walks around in her pjz and slippers all day. *
My mum is almost 50, she does exactly the same.
And i plan to do the same too. Age is just a number, doesnt mean *anything. *
