the line is more of a reflection of my loved ones’ mind, they have always tried to put me down in one way or other.

that was more a joke to say that what every one starts speaking about is always a truth

This is a very common sentence people say to each other “tum ab pehlay jaisi/jaisay nahi rahay” and when some one says this, to me it never means that intention is to let other person down through this sentence. It is just a change in us that years of life bring in and we must accept it.
