I always ignore compliments or shake my head or something weird - then quickly say something stupid like - you like this suit - it only cost a fiver 
But iv had some phenominal compliments by total strangers who have seen me interact with patients where I work..
a 70 Year old pt - was telling someone else.. that if there was more ppl in the world like me - the world wud be a better place. That was really sweet.
Another patient told me that I was a very caring and genuine pt and there wernt many ppl like me around these days..
these are feel-good compliments - personal compliments about the way I look are hard to take …
